I have no beef with Cowboys, warriors or titans but come September I barrack for their opposition. (unless dragons)

I don't want Sharks to be the only team without a premiership.

A story today the Broncos are again shopping around Ben Barba. He's been told he is very unlikely to be in the starting side and if he is he'll be on the wing.

He is a risk but at the moment we have absolutely nothing in the halves. Sign him for a couple of years, get the Broncs to pay half, play him at 5/8 and Nu brown off the bench. What's to lose, there are no other halves on the market and even next year we are kidding ourselves to think we'll get DCE or A. Reynolds. Barba is a Dally M winner with X factor, probably won't win us a comp, but a Robson/brown halves combo won't get us anywhere near the 8.

Same reports you read linking Barba to the market and having a wing position at the Donkeys also note that he has a desire for FB...He won't be coming to the Sharks to play in the halves. Let go of any notion of a marquee half playing for us next year, even an out of position marquee player. It won't happen.

Tend to agree, may just work

i wouldn't say that the club seems very recruitment driven after last off season fails

looking for it, it was in the daily mail, in the mean time, read this, they are actually offering him a pay out to leave

http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...Jacob-Miller/story-23031911-detail/story.html

also, check out rlfans.com/forum

the comments about how **** he is are brilliant

Just read the 19 pages about Miller leaving Hull on rlfans.com. Most of the comments seem to have respect for Miller's attitude - wish Miller well in the future, say that Miller has heaps of potential and signs of ability but that he was up against it with a coach that had brought his own halfback with him when Hull signed the coach.

Also say Miller is a confidence player and is down on confidence due to not being the incumbent halfback.

Also say Miller can't kick...sounds familiar?

My feeling is that he would be worth a punt....on an incentive based contract. He has demonstrated the skills including no look passes in training etc.

Trouble is that Flanno is back next year and since Flanno has overwhelming bias for Jeff Robson any other halfback will not get the opportunity to play top grade anyway. Hence grooming Miller/blooding Miller/realising Miller's potential will not happen under Flanno's watch.

So better get prepared for a 3 year drought on an enterprising halfback to steer the Sharks around the park

Sigh....

He did some good things as a 19 year old for the Tigers... did some ordinary stuff though too. He hasn't had a great/settled development path.

Sorry if its already mentioned but Eto Nubili (guy from Fiji that Fittler & Johns talent scouted for Penrith) has signed a 2yr deal with Dragons, you would have to think it would be in the low to at best mid 100k area so its sort of a bargain buy for the Dragons, makes me think some of there high earning backs might be about to be released as per media reports.

I think our wing depth is better than its been for a while but I'd like a high return development prospect to potentially take a spot in a year or two.

Bit of talk around that we might pick up the Dragons' Fijian U20s winger, Mociendreke (sp.). He's about 189cm and 100kg... He would suit us.
