I don’t get the Moses love, pre 22 form he was mid field and over rated.
22 had a good year but played behind some great go forward, perfect service from his hooker.
Was his best year of his career but he isn’t the player to break the bank for tho imo.
moses has been above "mid" since 2018

The real question is do you want Nicho to be a controlling half back, or someone who is playing second fiddle to a controlling half back (like a Moses).

Moses and Nicho might look good together, until Nicho decides to walk to another club that wants to make him the controlling half back.
I get your point that Nicho wants to play controlling halfback, I just don't think it has to be the version where he touches the ball almost every tackle. Give him a few tackles off to organise where we're going and I think we'd get more from him. Moses could definitely play that role and Moylan's current role to better effect

It is actually embarrassing when Moylan kicks the ball - and as a whole - we are under par in the kicking game ..

Seems like most are saying Nicho is always a halfback .
Yes , he has the number on his back and calls most of the play .
BUT , Moylan doesn't sit outside of him on both sides of the field .
Often Moylan is first receiver passing to Nicho depending on what side of the field they are attacking .
Efficient emergy management .
Do you think with a gun organsing half that Nicho would play outside him every set ?

I don't view it at all about how it would impact Nicho, because I don't overly think it will. You bring Moses in if you can because he's the best option available and considerably better than the half option he'd be replacing (Moylan). I don't care who plays 6 or 7, first or second receiver. I have every faith Nicho will succeed no matter where you put him.

Moses only touched the ball an average of 47 times a game to Moylans 45 (Brown 47).
Hynes (62) is touching the ball so much because he wants to not because Moylan won't help him out.

It's a lot more relevant what the player wants though and Hynes has said a few things which shows he has a strong preference to be Batman not Robin

He can’t be Batman. He’s already The Joker.

Completely fair, and impossible to really know from our position. I think those comments can be very context specific. Either might be happy to play 6 next to the other in a good pairing. Obviously if both want to be the guy at 7 then I'd agree it probably doesn't work and you'd look elsewhere rather than break the bank.

Need additonal forwards, and transition ASAP from Moylan
Agree we need some MOBILE forwards that have leg speed and can bend the line and good work rate ... also be on the field for big minutes . As it stands our front row is fairly slow, our current props can get caught when tired in defence ,the new fella from Parra a big slowish unit who seldom busts the line.
Often our smaller forwards doing more than there share in D

So all we need is a big fast line buster who does his share of D for big minutes and can't get caught out when tired?

I've got just the thread for you ...

All of our middles except Royce are busier in defence than the league's best "big minute middles".

So sign Tapine or JFH (maybe Carrigan if he promises to get fit or RCG if he can stop shirking his tackle workload)

I think Hynes would partner well with a Foran style player. Just a 5/8 who actually organises a bit more and can kick well. He can stay at half.

Didn't think he was a Nicho style half... There you go. Ask Sir Chadley to slip that into Fitz's inbox please
