Titans should of done this swap last year.

Verrills and Randall now to fight it out for the 9 jersey. Or will they both be in the 17?

Would assume verrills will start with Randall off the bench and Clark will start in the 13 like Burgo said.

Would say picking up Schoupp played a big part in this decision.

Probably fight it out and have Clarke at 13 who can jump in there if needed.
Maybe the other hooker would get some games at 14 if they don’t have a more suitable utility.

Verrills specifically said he moved to not play off the bench and not play Cup.

Verrills for me is a lot better in attack than randall.

However Randall’s defence is something the Titans could surely use in the middle.

So the tigers believe they have landed Moses for 2024. 1 mil a year for 4 years.

However they are ramping it up even more to try get him for next year.

What they’re hoping for is a spine if

1. Doeuhi
6. Brooks
7. Moses
9. Korisau

The signing of Bateman has gone cold but they believe they got the room to potentially sign both. However they will have to release 1 player I believe. We should be having a look at which tigers player would be good for us.

I’m thinking a prop - Alex Twal. Absolute workhorse - best defensive prop going around - metre water. Exactly what we need.

Joke of the day - we were actually very close to signing Cooper Johns. He actually turned us down for Manly 😂😂 we seriously dodged a bullet there. Bloke is absolute rubbish

Horrible by the Titans - giving up a good NRL standard meter eating winger for a NSW cup standard dummy half ..
I would guess that Alofiana Khan-Pereira is the reason (and the injury to Booth).

It's not a bad move at all. They give up a guy in a position where they have a gun prospect ready to take over so they can replace a guy who is out injured for the year.

+ Jojo

They also have Schoupp, Kelly, Herbert and Sami who are all probably primarily centres but most could play wing. They have weaknesses but definitely some strengths too

If they want to lock Clarke into the forwards a second hooker makes sense.

That's probably debatable, he certainly is a long way from a top NRL hooker but he held his own there well enough last season to show he is NRL standard.
His debut game he made 50 tackles against the Roosters for no misses. Also 57-3 against us and 60-3 against Panthers.
He won't win you any games but I think he's shown he is up to the minimum standard of NRL.

Jojo is locked in for 3 years though. I reckon the Titans need to show Khan-Pereira some love for him to re-sign.

Agree on Randall. Can do a job and is cheap. Similar to Berrell for the Sharks. He isn't necessarily going to push your starter but he's a great (and cheap) insurance policy. It's a long season. You need more than 17 blokes.

They looked a lot better with Clark at lock imo. Even his best games at hooker last year were when he played a bit of a hybrid Cam Smith role where he was at first receiver or playing as a link-man some of the time. They should persist with that.

Oh yeah just meant they have some good prospects at wing besides Marzhew.

You do need more than 17 blokes but the other 13 should all be good enough to start in a top 4 side or the most promising juniors going around... who are good enough already to start in a top 8 side.

Agree with Erin very mediocre hooker but looked good at 13, definitely worth pivoting into having him there.

If the Tigs manage to get Moses that will be one of the most impressive recruitment campaigns ever. If they have to release someone, i'd imagine it would be to Parra if they are trying to get the early release. I'd take Twal or Uto though.

Would be amazing considering where they've come from. Still, It's looking a great pack to work behind. Moses could do pretty well there. Though I'm a bit on the fence about the coaching situation... wonder if it's a plus or minus for landing someone like him.

If Moses leaves Parra… say goodbye to them
