I’d take Burton to partner Hynes for 2024 onwards

A spine of
1. Kennedy
6. Burton
7. Hynes
9. Brailey

Is something that would be good for years to come

Plus a decent selling point to Burton if he’s got a good spine to join
How ? We would have Moylan in 2024 ?

I think he would be a sensational Fullback. 6'3 solid, strong, fast, all of that skill? Would be pretty interested in seeing it.

Has all the talent to be one of the best halves in the game as well of course.
I can see that currently but partially takes away his boot which is a big weapon and he could stack on a little and outgrow fullback in next couple years

He's a gun half, needs a half decent half back to take some pressure off
Hynes sort of in the same boat, has alot of pressure trying to do everything, they'd be primed for 2024 after two seasons as the dominant half back.

Agree with that spine, title shot 2024👍🏾

It's also a good selling point for Hynes to re-sign with Burton already on board. But if Hynes moves on after 2024, atleast we have Burton

I would love Burton here. Perfect fit even if we keep Moylan for another year because he can play centre. I would also like us to look at Lodge. I think he and Fifita are old mates too. For all his faults, Lodge has incredible go forward and very fast PTB's. We need both at the mo.

Prob half the reason the club only wanted Moyza for another year was in the hopes of a Burton or a Munster signing to partner Hynes, although it looks like Moyza will get his 2 years in the end

If we signed Lodge we'd have to get one of those purpose built cages. Maybe we could use the Excellence Funding grant?

To an extent, we're talking 2024 aren't we? By then both have two full seasons as halves under their belts.
If it's 2024 you'd hope they were more polished, for sure. Guess I'm still not 100% on either being a natural half, so the combo gives me a few doubts. Would love to see them mentored by a top notch halves coach

Mate - aslong as Moylan is here I can almost guarantee you we will not look for another half until 2025. It is a stupid decision to sign him for 2 years.

Especially when we have the money we could have to throw at an elite half
