Dolphins now turning their attention to Luke Brooks
TBH they are getting near chuck **** at the wall and hope something sticks territory.

Problem is there are more better players off contract for the year after. Munster, Hunt and Walsh for example all massive potential targets for them that couldn't come in year one.

Crossland, Falls, Cooper Johns, Albert Kelly, Madden, Milf, O'Sullivan, Wakeham, Frawley, Lam, Walters all available.

Unless you thought you could pinch one of the other guys early I'd probably try get three of Falls, O'Sullivan, Madden, Milf, Kelly, Lam.
Between three of them and young Katoa surely something passable comes through.
Ideally you get both of Kelly and Milford on 1 year deals that way you can let at least one if not both go to make room for Munster, Hunt or some other actual stronger half for year 2.

I think it was a 5 year extension off the back of his existing contract which still has another year to go.

I wouldn't expect them to sack him... but their salary cap is a mess for next year, so would love to see them miss the finals two years in a row (having said that, I fully expect them to make finals this year).
I thought they were exempt fro salary cap.

Hunt’s final year was originally an option, though he may have already taken it.

Yep different players, Horses for Courses. Time will tell, Peachey can/may /might re gather form, Williams has reached his ceiling imho.
What is it you don’t like about Williams? Defence? Hands? Or just think we can find a better player who pushes Jack to first drop?

Dunno, Zero Tackle usually try and mark if it’s an option but they definitely aren’t perfect
Never mind.

It was a 5 year deal with an option for year 6.

I just found an article confirming he took it.

Rumour - Apparently the dolphins have signed multiple players who are currently contracted for next year. Word is they are working with the clubs at the moment to secure there release. Apparently its up to 6 players at this stage. No word on who though.

They are better than ZT, but they still stuff it up frequently.

E.g. Ryan Rivett is not off contract. He's signed for next year.

Source: Ryan Rivett.
That's only cos ZT probably get all their info from them...

I imagine they only update when things are official?

But was that confirmed and collaborated by a 3rd party?
Was not confirmed by a Tele journo so source must be dodgy.

NRL.com gets it wrong plenty of times. They make out like they have a direct line to the contracts office or something. They clearly don't. It's just a dude from NRL.com doing the updates. Not some internal lawyer/agent.

They have access to more information than the average punter, but they still miss a lot. They regularly leave players off development lists etc. Dykes signed his dev contract 3-4 months before it appeared on NRL.com.

Rivett's contract IS official btw. He signed a 3 year deal when he first joined.

NRL.com is the place to go for contract stuff

Thanks, they didn't used to list Options on there I don't think, they would just have the year if there was any kind of agreement.
Good to see it's a bit more transparent now.

Remember all the headaches we had in here worrying about Chad's two years of player option only to find out the second year was actually club options... only to then have him not even take up his player option...

I do like that ZT includes supposed contract values in theirs.

Both lists incomplete, include some players already signed for next year top 30 but not others.

methinks you luring me to do a disproving graph . Yep errors generally Burgess, hands, lateral movement, positioning, etc , just dumb sort of stuff and limited multiple 1st grade strings to his bow. He's solid at times, at absolute best, but that's not how he usually plays imho. Back up first drop -sure. And if he's relegated to that, id prefer a project player like Hazelton.
