haha man imagine if all the players they had off contract they only keep RCG and Gutho

If I was Paulo , I'd be thinking twice about signing there .
He might get good coin staying now , but surely being in another squad that can win a comp might be more important ?
You wonder if Gutho is the reason they are leaving , aired contracts talks around finals time a massive distraction

Looks like Mahoney to the Dogs (4 years) is about to be officially announced. Parra in all sorts here. They’re now 1 out of 4 for big retentions with Paulo still to make up his mind.
Geez, that's a bad look for the Eels. Maybe they're courting Sterlo to pull on the boots one more time

Nah I'm sure he signed well before he went to Warriors.

While it could always be more complicated than it seems or above normally bad (especially with the level of contact in NRL) I don't think I've ever heard of anyone having issues recovering from AC joint. Likely he has just been taking it easy on it offseason while ligament heals and it's a bit weaker on that side than other side.
Often considered largely a pain management issue but I can attest the pain is bad enough it makes it very hard to use your arm. Fits with him being in and out of team for a bit, being able to play mostly but not fully, especially if painkilling injections not doing as well as they hoped.
Potentially could have been bone damage as well or other issue with shoulder stability or similar though. I did my MCL (knee) once and there was a lot of associated bone bruising which was painful for much longer than ligament took to heal.
AC join injuries suck to rehab depending on the grade of the injury surgery can be needed. MCL injuries are generally a piece of cake to rehab in comparison.

Yeah if AC need surgery it’s a hassle but I think typically comes back sweet?

My MCL was worse than AC - I nearly ruptured it and nearly tore it off the bone which doctor said both narrowly avoid surgery but I’m convinced if I was a pro athlete it would have even surgery as the two injury points made it take a long time to heal

The AC joint has limited muscle around it so actually rehabs poorly. The larger injuries they need to insert a plate, but even grade 1 strains can be a point of pain for several months

Mate of mate so real accurate………..
Unless we offer the unbelievable deal of all time we are no chance of prying Paulo from Eels, make of that want you want.
