22 & 23 @ $300k with 3rd yr option would be good for us
Option would have to be back at full price, don't think he'd agree to that. He will think he can make himself worth more so why risk getting stuck on 600k, and if he isn't worth it then we won't take option anyway. Don't think club option has much attraction to established players.
If he is going to re-jig elements of contract to include option he probably push to include more money too.

Dogs unlikely to cover 50% but it'd be a starting point
Yeah I just made 50% up because I don't want him unless he is very good value.
400k for him still decent but they are the ones in cap pressure so if they can't make it worth our while they can solve their issues another way.

Yeah not sure I'd be interested north of $400k for him.

With talks of Apisai Koroisau being forced out he wouldn't be cheap but is a finished product and would be a great get
Also if Tigers were to get Hodgson, I would try and tempt Jake Simpkin over

The talk is they're willing to let Liddle go to the Dogs if they sign Hodsgon. They won't let Simpkin go.

might let him go to panthers if it got them Api though

Or Tracey even
Yeah I think Cotric or Ronnie plays centre (probably Cotric)

Another centre option is Paul Momirovski rumoured to be being squeezed out of Penrith also.
Teams he is part of have a surprisingly good grand final streak - perfect if you accept the fact nobody can help the Tigers

That Lachlan Miller might be in the running too if he shows promise .
Granted a Longer Shot to start

Yeah and there is also potential in Lualua, JT and Kayal Iro to progress into NRL players by season end. Lualua got close to a run last year I think.
Miller with professional games under his belt may be ahead of all of them if he is a quick learner, I wouldn't necessarily bank on any of these 4 names being NRL ready at start of season though, which leaves centre being a bit tricky.
I don't love Ronnie @ centre personally but I do think Tracey can do a solid job there with a focus over preseason.

It's an awkward position because we don't really have a clear good option but there are quite a few who could come good there. Enough I don't think we need to panic and buy a full priced Cotric.

Cotric is a SOO when fit and in form. He would be a great acquisition and could handle centre

Even though I mentioned Lachlan Miller
I reckon at under 400K Nick Cotric would be good buy .

We know Cotric is a decent winger ( Selected 18th man for Origin ) , is fairly big and runs at around 36 kph

Full nameNikola Čotrić
Born18 November 1998 (age 22)
Cooma, New South Wales, Australia
Height185 cm (6 ft 1 in)
Weight98 kg (15 st 6 lb)

"Canterbury teammates Dallin Watere-Zelezniak and Nick Cotric would be next up based on 2021 speed dials – both registering top speeds of 35.8km/h in that same Storm game."

In 2016, Cotric was a member of the Canberra Raiders' NYC team, playing 21 games primarily at centre.[4][5] In August 2016, Cotric re-signed with the Raiders on a 2-year contract until the end of 2018,[6] In 2016, Cotric played for the Australian Schoolboys.[7] On 5 September 2016, Cotric was named at centre in the 2016 NYC Team of the Year.[8]

September 2017, Cotric received the Rookie of the Year award at the 2017 Dally M
Did also play Centre junior Kangaroos

2018 18th man Origin
At the end of the season, statistics showed that Cotric was on top of tackle break count with 149,
Played Prime Minister’s XIII against Papua New Guinea, playing on the wing , scoring a try

Does Cotric start before Sexy and Ronnie?

Maybe before Ronnie.. maybe, but perhaps Ronnie to centres ?

That's the only way I see the point of this. We've got some pretty good wingers, we're not at all desperate. So if we're getting Cotric it's either to play centre, or play wing and I assume move Ronnie in ?
