Knights are looking for players for this year due to their injury/suspensions.
We should offer them Tracey. Free up that money for someone better.

I wouldn't give them anyone, but I would consider loaning them some of our more marginal depth for a while. Way to get them some first grade experience? Worked well for Arthur's last year.

Why wouldn't the Knights just get that "someone better"?

He may not be a top line player, but for the money he would be on he brings good bang for buck. For whatever money you free up by releasing Tracey you are probably not getting a player better than him for the same money.

Tracey's a great player to have in your squad. Doesn't cost much, plays plenty of positions, works hard, and does a passable job most times he is thrown in somewhere. Players can be useful and contributing members of the team without being starting/impact players.

Everyone in the squad wider squad needs to be NRL starter quality or a junior who could be anything once given the chance (probably from their very first game).
Everyone in the best 17 should be top 10 (top 5 of spine) for their position in the NRL

Traceys never let anyone down and optimizes what fitzy wants in a player. might not be blessed with the athleticism of others but still puts his body on the line and gives 110%
attitude speaks volumes and like fitzys son said, you can have all the talent in the world but it dont mean shyt if you dont work hard.
id be happy to have connor just in the squad for the next 5 years even if he only plays a dozen games
