He's good but not that good.
I rate him very highly
Hes the perfect modern day forward
Big, strong, dynamic and has an engine in him which could potentially do 70-80 mins.

I watched his development at St.Helens, his biggest mistake was joining the Dogs when he did as theyve been nothing but atrocious at times in the past couple of seasons.

Cant see Doga retaining Luke Thompson for 2024.
Criminally under utilised last couple of seasons there.
Has potential to be the best front rower in the game amd still only 27

Needs to get through this season without any major concussion issues.

Feki did not look 6'2 to me. Wow!
Article from 2019 says

Winger

Average height: 186cm

Average weight: 97kg

"Average" player: Dallin Watene-Zelezniak - Penrith Panthers (186cm, 97kg)

https://www.finder.com.au/the-nrl-match-up-what-does-the-average-player-look-like

So that puts Feki very marginally above average height and weight for a (nearly) modern winger. And back around 2016 times he would have been a bit more towards the top end you'd think, but still other bigger boys running around. Plus at that height weight it's typically a fairly balanced physique so it doesn't stand out as much.
Vs like a Tupou who is a few kilos heavier but a pretty significant 8cm taller, or Sivo who is a few kilos heavier also (same weight as Tupou) but a bit shorter than Feki and looks like a tank, especially compared to Tupou.

I think sometimes when spectating you lose track of the fact the medium sized guys are still relatively tall compared to average - average height in Aus only 176cm - and throw in a lot of 188cm tall people would not be athletes or would play a sport like basketball so they don't fill out the frame as much as a league players so they 'look' taller

That’s from his wiki though. We’ve all been known to add a few inches, right fellas?
Measure from the base of the Feki to the tip of the head

Don't disagree but he'll never be as good as Haas or JFH.

would take LT in a heartbeat but i'd wager he will be back off to the uk when he is turfed or his contract is up
100%. Thompson in our pack would be incredible. They interested in a player swap? Give them Hiroti for Thompson. Seems fair.

I’m still dumbfounded why we let him go and got nothing in return. Fucking embarrassing on our behalf imo.
Hard to comment without knowing the full story. We were obviously trying.

If things came to a stalemate then I'm glad we let our old (by NRL standards) third choice go to a club where he probably starts.

Might have our eyes on someone else too. No point taking someone from the knights for the sake of the spot.

Mate, as HB said, none of us are at the coalface. We don't know the situation. It's all speculation. Bit harsh to say it's fucking embarrassing. I think you are overreacting quite a bit. If we were to get someone I'm sure Fitz would have sorted it. And who says they haven't? Nothing official has been announced.

Yeah I’d agree. Still it’s crap that we let him go for nothing. Kinda makes me wish we could demand a transfer fee and get some cash for him at least.

There are other factors though too, you won't have a great relationship between every club but it pays to have some good will around the place

Further to that there may be a managerial element to it, keeping good will (within reason) with those leeches can be important

And of course just good will in playing group, it's a juggling act - you don't want them to think the contract is meaningless if they get a better offer but you don't want your 3rd choice fullback stropping around kicking stones at every session because you made him honour his. You'd like to think a high profile player would know they won't get the same leniency of release as a squaddie but would also recognise at the end of the day if absolutely necessary the club would work with them

Agree a transfer fee kind of does a bit of each of the above and still lines our pockets though.
Cheeky 50k is half the value of winning the preseason!
