Probably a few motivating factors.

“While the figure may be large, the Roosters forward’s intentions for the money are extremely admirable as he plans to donate it all and help open a facility in western Sydney to help tackle violence among youth, help kids with their education and provide mental health resources”

The victims themselves said he deserved a shot at redemption. The bucks stops with them
If he fought and beat Gal and No Limits gave him multiple fights as their new big name would he donate all that money too?

Why doesn’t he put his money where his mount is and start his own go fund me off with a decent donation.

I have eased my impression of him somewhat, he’s kept pretty clean for some time now and people deserve to be able to grow and change.
But what he did was deplorable

Even if he grew his hair out into a balding mullet, I still don't think I'd want him at our club.

Not a top Prop, but has potential to be, Flegler anyone? Could make him an enforcer

Dont care. Dont want him here. Doesnt fit in what Fitz wants in a representative of the club imo.

Also those victims opinions might of changed a bit with the big fat cheque Lodge (and Brisbane and the NRL) put in their laps.

Curious to see if we do look at any players for 2024, we signed McInnes and Kaufusi early so won’t be surprised if we have a crack at a few players.

On Kaufusi he was pretty quiet yesterday but the GF experience will be good for him and his development.

Kind of the point of the money right, compensation for their suffering

The blokes ego is also insane, imagine refusing to commit to your first ever boxing match until the public donates you $1million so you can rehab your image without spending a cent of your own money.

He's a ****ing loser.

The Broncs are already paying him close to 700k, pretty hard to pry him from them on that coin.
In saying that I truly hope the Broncos are stupid enough to cave to Haas and give him the 1million+
If it happens everyone will be after Flegler and Carrigan, they'd have to give 1 up you'd imagine.

Never liked the idea of a guy getting his crimes erased purely because he’s got money (or his footy club has money).

He’s still a thug piece of **** who doesnt deserve to wear our jersey in my mind.

For the first time I'd consider this. Not sure if anyone else saw his IG post about fighting Gal, but it's actually changed my opinion of him a bit and I didn't think that was possible.
What ? Getting everyone else but him to put their hard earned money in ?

Carrigan would be great, but he'll definitely be priority, even over Haas, Captain material they'll try keep him a 1 club man.

If they didn't it would be the stupidest decision they've made in years and that's saying something

It’s not erased, he has just paid the court appointed price. We’re certainly all still well aware of it.

Not sure what the footy club has to do with it, didn’t they just pay a lot of his wage to victims directly instead of him?

Yeah. bort’s mate from WA, so I flick a few comments up here to keep him up to date. I follow Burleigh in the Q Cup (my team doesn’t exist anymore, but I debuted against Burleigh). Rogers was a backup half and bench player a few years ago. Did the last pre season with the Titans. He’s older (26) but the last two years has gotten bigger, stronger and has been a stand out. He’s a 6 more than a 7. Something the Titans need imo. Brimson is not the answer there.
Qld Cup 5/8 of the year
