Imagine the circus when 4 top 8 clubs have 100-200k left in their roster and another 4 have like 100k each
And they are all bidding like crazy for players from the bottom 4 teams.

Team #2 needs a starting prop and can offer David Klemmer 100k for the last rest of the season to come and challenge for finals...
But wait here comes Team #3 who could use a bench prop and can offer him 150k instead!
Meanwhile team 8 are struggling to stay in the 8, he he makes their 17... they have 200k available...
He takes the 150k but Tino gets wind of the 200k on offer and takes that up. Now you've still got team #2 with 100k they need to spend on a prop even more now... Tigers are willing to send Pole for the finals experience but he'll only come for the full 100k...

It'd certainly be a something to watch unfold but what a cluster****

This is exactly what happens in ice hockey. Anyone looking to make a run gets into a bidding war for players from the worst teams. (Mostly guys who are coming off contract).

The guys running the bad teams use the deadline as a means of stockpiling draft picks and young guns.

Deadline day is one of the highest rating events on the calendar.

Definitely.
Great bench impact and would thrive in a decent sharks team with Fitz as his mentor

I'd definitely take him, just a matter for how much. Our pack is pretty solid, but if he wanted to come for 400k I'd be all over it. Much more and I'd be a pass.

Fifita being moved to the backroom and not being Re- signed in a playing capacity it seems.
Tolman i doubt get re-signed

Fifita and Toleman gone. Hazelton and Jesse colulqon promoted to the top 30 along with Kafusi. There’s your middle replacements. Wouldn’t really expect too many other significant signings. Noone big confirmed leaving, though I’ve been told we’re chatting with Angus Crichton. Could be Wade replacement.

Finucane McInnes BHU Rudolf Hunt Williams Kaufusi Colquhoun Hazelton Wilton all currently signed and either do or can play in the middle.
Not sure there is a glaring hole there

I think it's fair to say we'll still be running with a lighter pack going forward based on the rookies and Kaufusi. Maybe that's a preference? Like how Ricky likes to have a bunch of bigger boppers.

Tolman should be re signed imo.

Fifita and Wade leaving (most likely) has us lose a lot of experience there. Always good to have a couple of older heads in the squad. Plus he’s still playing well and is cheap. No brainer really.
