Joey Manu has told the roosters he’ll only stay if he can play fullback or 5/8. So he’s basically gone.
Warriors are said to be close to tabling a 4 year deal at 900k a year where he will play fullback. Walsh 5/8 and Johnson 7.
IMO it is ridiculous money to throw at him. Yes he’s a good player (centre) but he’s not in the same ball park as Tedesco, Turbo ect.
Gutherson also wants 4 years at 900k. IMO he’s worth half that.

Gutho is worth way more than 450k, if you look at his stats he wasn’t far off Teddy.

Yeah I reckon Gutho is worth 750 to 800k. He's the best in the comp at effort plays. Doesn't have the skill or exploseviness of the elite, so next rung down is fair imo.

Dunno what Teddy's on but Turbo's on about 1.2m, so 900 isn't really in the same ball park.
I really like Manu but agree, it's a bit of a risk. In saying that I'd back him to do well at fullback.

Not surprising. He was already with their feeder team - similar to how Levi got into the squad.
Add Ezra Mam, Josh James and Cory Paix to that list. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Jack Campagnolo thrown a dev deal.

Dolphins entering the compo may be driving up the rpices - at least in the minds of the players/managers. I do not kow hwo much money they have but since they will be building a new squad it is not hard to imagine that they will be splashing some cash around.
I'm assuming they have the same amount of salary cap money as any other club, so they can probably poach a few big names on good coin and from there will be making similar value offers to every other club. They only add 6% to the wage pool.
Seems like a popular 'idea' to make yourself available for the new team but they won't be able to offer most players any more money than any other club.
Impact will likely be just as big from the other clubs that lose their big names, ie Dolphins splash a bit extra to secure Munster means Melbourne suddenly have some money and in big hole to fill but Storm themselves only still have the same amount of money and unlikely to overspend to replace him.
