If Metcalf leaves I am all for Cotric. Let’s Tracey go back to 14. I’m for for Cotric even if he doesn’t, but it creates less head aches if he is

Do you really think Barrett can keep him motivated or improve his game - lets face it he went to dogs for the money - big mistake.
From what I saw he went okay for them this year and their team looks stronger on paper next year which will make it easier for him to play well. Don't know enough about Barrett as a coach. Probably wouldn't expect him to improve but if side goes decent he could reach old form / stay motivated.
I think people are still looking for a replacement for Tracey
Yep, not really ideal that our left centre seems to be Tracey? Lualua? Miller? JT? with Metcalf? probably in there from some too (or Kennedy? if you ask others...)
Getting a clear starter for this position does solve one of the biggest roster questions we have currently. Not worth paying overs to solve this problem though IMO

Just heard 9 news talking about a lead in to a story about a much improved Cotric or some fluffy bullshit. Confirms to me he's on the market. A certain Bulldogs GM using his ch9 links to pump him up before the sale?

I was picturing Nicoll Klokstad for some reason. Would rather sign him than Nick Cotric. Proper onfield nutcase.

The two shouldn’t be related
They are because I like Tracey and I’d worry about his position in the team if Metcalf and Cotric were on the same team. So it’s either Metcalf goes or Cotric stays… personal preference obviously

A pretty split opinion so far. At 400k I'm all over Cotric. Big body and quick. He was great at Canberra and got paid overs to move. We could get great value from him at 400k.

2 year deal, sell it to him that a move to a better side will help him in his next contract.

The game is NOT faster - in any way.
It depends on how the refs decide to interpret the new rules. It seemed faster when the new rules were first introduced but now the refs control the pace of the game and actively slow it down.
Telling tacklers when to "release" was there before the new rules, but seems to be even more a part of the game now.

I assume every team will be trying to do what Penrith did in grand final so well and never really copped to much grief of the ref, go three into a tackle one guy lifts just one leg the other two drive him back 10 meters. Pushing them back off the held mark or stepping beyond the mark to play the ball seems to really grate my gears this past season.

looking over at the ref with puppy dog eyes and releasing as soon as he says to, but not before

I'm still not over the fact the chin nuts have won a premiership.

Burg, I get that the game isn't statistically faster now, but it is hard not to think it is based just on the eye test. I do think my sample might have some bias in fairness... Outside of Sharks games I'd pay most attention to the top teams. Maybe it's the intensity that's lifted. Player speed? Fitness, size ... All if the above? That is different to time spent in play and the like.

Just a musing... Was interested in what you thoughts about it.

where is all this Cotric talk coming from? Are we seriously talking to him and any chance of signing him ?
