I love the game but wish I could hit a wood off the fairway. Just can't do it. Get more distance with the two iron. I play off 18 so I don't do too bad.
I am without doubt though, the worst putter in the world.

Looks like I'd better get my clubs back off my rents. I haven't played in 10 years, I was **** back then, I hate to think what I'll be like now

I'm having a round out at Camden Lakeside in a couple of weeks. They constantly have deals on where for $70 (for two people, so only $35pp) you get a round of golf, bucket of balls to warm up with, motorised cart hire and a free drink afterwards. Bloody good value.

This is where I can display how good a golfer I am.

I only carry eight clubs, 3 wood, 5 wood, 3 iron, 5 iron, 7 iron, 9 iron, sand wedge and a putter.

Yet I can still manage a really high score every round I play.

Very nice course. Designed by Peter Thomson I think, links style course with pot bunkers in the fairway. The rough is quite long in places so if your ball goes in, forget it. Greens aren't too challenging which suits me just fine!

The 3 Wood. I have driver, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 iron, pitching wedge, sand wedge, putter in my bag. A five wood sits in there just for show to make up the 14 clubs you can have. The putter is probably there for show as well. Does nothing else. I am the type of player who 2 putts when it should be a one putt and I three putt when it should be a two putt. Four putts are not unusual in my repertoire. Which means I have to be good from tee to green. If my driver or irons are off, I'm gone.
