I thought the disruptor rule was brought in for people who were constantly disrupting @Sir Chadley's conversations by going on silly tangents
This would prove it's inconsistency as we are still stuck with HB!I thought the disruptor rule was brought in for people who were constantly disrupting @Sir Chadley's conversations by going on silly tangents
Can't believe some in here like pineapple on pizza. This would prove it's inconsistency as we are still stuck with HB!
NHL, the Goaltender interference rule seems to change over and over againWhat other sport has constant 'interpretations' for rules that get tweaked every year?

Sloan dropped a ball once because cam McInnes timed his jump wrongCan someone remind me how bad the game was before the Sharkrupter rule came in?
I cant remember any controversy around it.
To be fair, there were a lot of players just crowding the catcher's space/running into their legs. But I still don't see how this couldn't be fixed in a much simpler way, and it certainly wasn't such a blight on the game that this fiasco was required. Can someone remind me how bad the game was before the Sharkrupter rule came in?

If I'm a coach, I'm playing to it every time as it feels like there is a 50/50 chance you get lucky between drops, disruptors and escorts. What a stupid game it is at the moment.I wonder whether teams might start using something else besides the bomb 20 metres out. A little grubber perhaps. I don’t know I’m just thinking out loud.
The rule is so ambiguous some coaches are going to start losing faith in getting what they want from a bomb.
Fair enough. Maybe I’m looking at it more as a fan.If I'm a coach, I'm playing to it every time as it feels like there is a 50/50 chance you get lucky between drops, disruptors and escorts. What a stupid game it is at the moment.
I tell you want doesn't work - lobbying a pass to your centre and winger and hope they put a quick kick in.If I'm a coach, I'm playing to it every time as it feels like there is a 50/50 chance you get lucky between drops, disruptors and escorts. What a stupid game it is at the moment.
**** that was dire, wasn't it? Both of them were awful. I put more blame on the halves for not getting a foot to it though.I tell you want doesn't work - lobbying a pass to your centre and winger and hope they put a quick kick in.
If you go after a grubber ingoal and get to it but knock on it's just 6 tackles too now, I believe, so we may see a swing evolve in that direction a bit more if the aerial battle becomes problematic for attacking teams.I wonder whether teams might start using something else besides the bomb 20 metres out. Yep. The only risk is kicking dead but surely they can put a short kick through. If you go after a grubber ingoal and get to it but knock on it's just 6 tackles too now, I believe, so we may see a swing evolve in that direction a bit more if the aerial battle becomes problematic for attacking teams.
I think aerial contests should haventheir own rules, in that whoever catches it gets it. If it bounces between players in the air, but you still come down with it (in control, not a bat back) then its your ball. No knock ons in the aerial contest (unless it hits the ground). Why does it have to be a fair aerial contest? It's not the bloody under 8s ffs. Crazy.
Not to mention the dumb tackle in the air rules. Just penalise it hard if a player is put in a dangerous position where they could land on their head/neck. Giving a penalty or a penalty try because a player changes from catching to putting their hand on the attacker is complete BS.I think aerial contests should haventheir own rules, in that whoever catches it gets it. Disruptor is stupid. So is taking 20 minutes for the bunker to check if you knock it on into this guy before taking possession, given they refuse to use super slow motion or 4/8k footage, their viewing of these things is blurry and always contentious.
Let the players play
I mean, thay have a separate rule for charge downs (no knock ons) so they could do it.I think aerial contests should haventheir own rules, in that whoever catches it gets it.
