Glad I took a piece of Woods at $3!

What about Carl Webb getting his fat lazy arse belt around the ring? hahaha

Mundine is just too f-cking quick. Dunno what Medley was doing dropping his fists and taunting Mundine after copping some punches in the head.. The bloke winning in the final rounds does that, not the spanker getting toyed with in the 5th lol

You watch how many of Mundine's undercards Garth Woods appears on after he gets beat by Mundine whenever they fight. Its no coincidence the ex-footballer with a corner full of Muslims won - he might as well of had Choc rubbing vaso on his forehead between rounds. If I had of known who was gonna be there when placing my bet I'd have put a month's salary on Garth.

Would it be fair to assume that that black fella needs money, maybe he threw the fight? Wouldnt bethe first time it has happened.

Needed money so he threw a fight worth $25k, a new ute and a $250K fight with Mundine and whatever price you put on the publicity gained from winning the first Contender Australia and going on to fight Mundine?

if a bookie paid him 200k to make sure he loses, you couldnt blame him for taking it.

True.

Not sure about the size of the betting market on a Contender bout though.

Kariz didn't look to be pulling punches either. I'm pretty confident he was trying to put Woods to sleep.

yeah i dare say the amount wagered on the fight would have been minimal.

How did charlie webb go?

Got his fat lazy arse handed to him by a 35 year old ex-con who drives a bobcat for a living and has a 1-3 pro record lol TKO in the dying seconds of round 3.

Just not fit enough. Was blowing hard towards the end of the 2nd round, could hardly stand and focus by the end of the 3rd and the ref called it after a little left-right from the other bloke had Charlie f-cked being held up by the ropes. The other bloke was buggered too cause someone screwed up and made the rounds 3mins instead of 2mins, which probably caused to the early exhaustion of them both and I'd say it would of gone the distance had it not been for the extra 1min on the rounds, in which I'd say Webb wins on points.

Either way though, both had to fight under the same conditions and the pro "athlete" died in the arse big time. Webb threw some big punches in the first 2 rounds but old mate wasn't fazed.

So maybe Willie Mason did him a favour by not fighting him? Willie may have beaten him?

Wow, Kariz just looked really flat. Didn't look like he wanted to be there at all. But full credit to Woods, he is one frustrating fighter and make it painful to watch for the viewer. If he beats Mundine I will forever praise the name Garth Woods.

CONTENDER ROMANCE

THE CONTENDER was a reality show with plenty of on-camera scandal, but perhaps the hottest piece of news that didn't make it to air was the relationship between host Charlotte Dawson and boxing expert Paul Briggs. The pair were an item for a period during filming. Dawson has had a thing for sports stars in the past - she was married to bad boy swimmer Scott Miller.

Anyone that watched this night be interested to know Nader and Junior fought tonight, with Jnr eeking out a split decision victory. Very close fight that could have gone either way. Jnr landed the quality shots, Nader landed the quantity. Nader wasnt happy with the decision and told the judges to go get ****ed!

Personally i had Nader up 5 rounds to 3, but you could make a case for about 2 of those rounds for Jnr.

Could be another rematch on the cards.....i'll be watching, was a great fight.

Oh and garth Woods fight ended 2 minutes in because of a head clash which opened him up pretty bad.......guess thats what happens when you lead with your forehead.
