Official Teig Wilton

This is the stupid thing about the judiciary system currently. Teig can pay a fine and play next week or challenge and miss 2 weeks... so obviously he pays the fine. Then the next poor bugger who tries to argue that he is not guilty because of a head clash gets that tackle used as evidence against him.

And Teig is now walking a fine line with suspension ..

Yeah he is lucky all three of these charges count as 2nd offence.

Now he moves into 3rd offence territory and the high tackles are 3k each, but the crusher would be a THREE match suspension.
Any charges other than Careless High 1, Dangerous Contact 1 and Contrary Conduct 1 are all 2+ weeks out
 
A spear tackle is poor technique (or in a rare case actually intentional)

A head clash is an accident that happens in a contact sport - it will always be a risk factor for those that play the game they way it's meant to be played

A player can cop a concussion or something worse than Wighton and play on without the visible signs and the bloke that tackled him might just get away with a penalty or nothing at all but cause Wighton on the ground with blood it's quite dramatic and Teig goes for 10....

Wighton came back on the field so could not have been that bad?

If it's about duty of care then just ban tackles above waist height - that should provide a sufficient safety margin

Also ban tackles below waist height for hip drop duty of care. Players should be forced to wear midriff tops with a target painted on their belly-buttons.

If Wighton had the tough ears of a man this never would have happened.

I wanna see that thing in HALF before we even consider bin! Crichton, and who was the other one recently? maybe Dog Hayes? someone else got their **** split

To be fair on bort it's possible Julia Robinson gets charged from that same game for a dangerous tackle on herself.

Ah she scored that try! That's why her name came in my head when I was thinking of destroyed spines haha

I don't know if being aware that is a picture of a try makes it more or less confusing how she ended up like that
