Watched a local U15 game yesterday, really bad spear tackle head first into the ground. Only a penalty which was baffling.

Do you mean the Ali Brigginshaw one where the girl landed on her head? She was sent to the bin and I thought she should have actually been sent off. I watched the game and don't recall seeing one from Julia Robinson.

You're right, just refound the clip it was Brigginshaw and clip said how was it not a send-off

So, of the details, I successfully remembered it was in the NRLW and little else
 
Yeah that Brigginshaw tackle was WWE stuff. Could have broken Tayla Preston's neck. Should be a very lengthy suspension. I thought it was as bad as the Kennedy Cherrington one a few years ago, which was a send off and 4 weeks (in a 9 game season), so 44% of the season.

Equivalent now for an 11 game season would be 5 weeks.

With Cherrington there was a second player in the tackle which made it worse. Brigginshaw did that 100% on her own, could have pulled out at any time and chose not to.

I just checked the judiciary article on the NRL website for the NRLW and there only two charges and Brigginshaw was not one of them! :oops:

That can't be right, that sort of tackle should be 2-3 weeks at least if not more!

Not sure they have added Sunday games yet, check again later perhaps
