O'Leary is going really well.
He got absolutely no publicity going into the season compared to the other rookies, even though he won the QS.
I had a feeling he'd do well, he's solid. Powerful smooth turns. I really like watching him surf.
Speaking of people being talked up, Ethan Ewing has been a bit of a disappointment. Although he is still only 18. Hopefully he can get some results towards the end of the season and stay on tour.

yep no way in hell i wanna see Slater retire on this note! Ive said it many times, but i honestly believe he is the greatest athlete of our time. He was a world champ when i was like 5 years old, 26 years later still on tour. Not winning titles, but definitely not fading away either. I think his committment to the tour has been his downfall in results, more than anything else.

Yeah hard to disagree. He can go on as long as he likes as far as I'm concerned.
They are saying 6 weeks for his foot. Having seen the X Rays it sounds very optimistic to me.

Some great surfing happening. But I think they are starting to throw out too many 10s
If that's the wave with the 2 aerial 360's I've gotta say that it's one of the more remarkable rides I've ever seen. He was so glued to the board that it looks like he didn't even need to change his foot position at any stage on the ride.
