Hi All,

My company, Wendy Wu Tours has been asked to put together the packages for the Supporters Tour on behalf of the club to Lake Taupo in NZ which is being played at 1430 Sunday 3rd April. (Round 4 vs Warriors)

For the supporters tours I envisage there being air/land packages and land only packages with options to allow flexibility to those who may wish to extend before/after the game in NZ on holiday.

What I am canvassing is ideas from those who are thinking of going to the game to see what you would like to be included in a package deal that would say “I will book it through the official supporters tour as that is good value” rather than trying do it on line yourself (though in saying that it is a little more involved in getting to and from this game than just playing in Auckland any other year)?

What inclusions would people look for? Would you want touring pre-arranged or just options offered in Rotorua and Lake Taupo? Interaction with players before and after the game? Flying into and out Rotorua (Sat/Tues with Air NZ) and Auckland (daily) are our airport options.

Once I have a general idea I can go off and get the packages made up in conjunction with the club and release them to the market for bookings.

For any on here who are also Corporate Sponsors, we are doing the arrangements for that trip as well so I would also be interested in hearing what you would like in your package.

If you don’t want to make it public, please PM me.

PS: For anyone who is wondering why does Wendy Wu Tours sell into NZ – we don’t we operate tours in China, Indochina and India but our GSA partner office in NZ is also a ground operator for NZ inbound so we do have the means and expertise.

Cheers Adam

In your head, rent free
rotorua... the sulphar (sp) spas need to be included.
fair enough you come out with a pong, but they are so relaxing.
the tour of the volcano mountain is awesome as well, if again you can handle the stench.
as far as other things around there, i have found the place boring, but others will like it.
if we play sunday, i would like a fly in friday fly out monday option.

The place near rotorua with my monganui is the place to be

Mt monganui? Is it just me, or does NZ in general have a 'funky' smell to it? Maybe it was just my mates and I back when we were 16 letting off all those fart bombs on the rugby tour :lmao

I'm definitely interested in doing this trip. I would liek to see an accommodation package for supporters as well as some sort of function with the players before/after the game - maybe a dinner/BBQ or breakfast.

Not too interested in touring as I will have the family with me, we will probably hire a car and get around ourselves and make a holiday of it.

I would like a package deal with the option for extending a week or two. In terms of social activity - I would like to be included in any functions with the players but not matty johns style (being new zealand and all).
