Fantastic sunset tonight... saw a whole flock of sulfur crested cockatoos flying south down Gymea Bay Road when I was in Gymea this evening... the light that came in under the clouds made them glow against the dull background.

People just stopped in the street and gasped. Phenomenal stuff. No camera could have ever captured it.

Nice... I don't get the cockatoos much now, but I get a bloody lot of rosellas chirping away!

Rosellas or Rainbow Lorikeets?

Living as close to the National Park as I do with no cats or dogs... and the fact that we throw a lot of our household scraps out for the birds, our backyard is regularly frequented by all sorts of birds.

Last night we had a massive owl (I believe a female Powerful Owl) sitting at the apex of our clothesline - it didn't even move when I took the washing off the line.

We've also had a pair of Gang-Gang Cockatoos in our backyard recently too.

I've got a Tawny Frog Mouth who behaves exactly the same way. He came inside once and left three days later... Very tame. Sat beside me most of the time.

Nah... I think he might of been keen on the bandicoot who comes inside during the summer.
