Feldt out for 6 weeks just makes me think cobbo is going to get picked.

I personally wouldn’t pick him but.

He seems the type of player that QLD would pick - and would do a good job.

Coates probably on one wing? Oates? Holmes? Cobbo on the other?

I’d go with

1. Ponga
2. Coates
3. Gagai
4. Holmes
5. Hammer
6. Munster
7. DCE

That’s my back line

Coates has been awful in the origins he’s played so he misses out for me.
I’d still pick him over the bloke who leads the entire NRL in errors.

When he catches and holds the ball Cobbo is an excitement machine. He drops is so often though that he is ultimately a liability to any team he plays on.

Last year’s Q Cup GF he dropped it 5 times out of 14-15 touches. Scored a try and made a big line break though - so the commentators still said he would have been man of the match had they won.

I can't see Slater picking cobbo. He looks at effort areas etc in the game, I think with time can make a good coach and I would be surprised if he picked him unless injuries forced his hand.

I don't know much abut Slater as a coach. Qld have done some dumb stuff in the past with young players though.

Cobbo will probably be a gun one day. He's still got plenty to learn to be considered a consistent NRL player let alone an origin player. If a hot month scoring tries for the Broncos is all it takes to be a star Denan Kemp would be an immortal.

Would you pick him week in week out at the moment if you were the coach?
