Matty Ryan: FC Copenhagen >>>>>>> Borussia Monchengladbach (Germany) (€500k release clause) to replace Sommer who is likely off to Bayern Munich. Not done yet, but is looking a decent chance.

If this means Ryan will be first choice this would be an incredible move for him. I don’t know enough about Gladbach’s other goalkeeper to know for sure.

That would of looked a bit better post world cup if the game’s administration didnt sell the Grand final to Sydney. People are protesting and boycotting at the moment, Melbourne City and Victory’s active groups are banned at the moment as well.
That wouldn't be impacting much on other teams' home crowds though I would have thought.

How have Glory only had two home games?

They’re ground is unavailable so the league front ended their away games to give them time to make alternative arrangements. They’re playing out of Macedonia Park now. 6 of their next 7 games will be home games played there.

Ah I didn't know there was works at HBF, at least they should get close to a full house at new venue... unless venue puts even more people off...

Sure but I doubt it's in the thousands?

True. They have had thousands come up to Sydney or across to Adelaide for games, but its rare.

I’m not arguing that the crowd numbers are down, the Wanderers numbers especially is shameful for them seeing as they’re fans trump themselves up a lot for having big crowds every week, which just isn’t true anymore. But overall there are mitigating circumstances for the lower crowd numbers, a lot of which self inflicted by the league and two club’s active fan groups (Victory and Melb City).

Still can't believe it. Didn't even lift during the world cup I hear. Outside of the radical fans, most people just don't care to go and watch the game... even if most of our kids play it.

It did lift post world cup, until the game shot itself in the foot again with this Grand Final announcement which was a PR nightmare for the league with the protests and walkout. All the post World Cup buzz was pissed away………again.

Awer Mabil: Cadiz (Spain) >>>>>>>> Sparta Prague (Czech Republic) Loan deal apparently done deal. No idea if it’s loan to buy.

Garang Kuol is currently in Edinburgh, he just posted a photo on his instagram. Hearts are reportedly one of the clubs looking to bring him in on loan. Reading is another one as well apparently.

This move fell through, looks like he’ll join Dutch side AZ Alkmaar now to slot straight into the number 1 slot there.
