Site is alot faster, snappier and responsive and it seems most of our content and user settings ect have transferred over seamlessly. Alot of forum transitions do not go that way

Basically just log in and learn some of the new functionality

Good job - I liked the old site but the change is vindicated
You should probably reserve judgement until you quote 49 posts in the one thread, see how it turns out!

I ignored the newsfeed before but it appears in the cool new lightning zone with a bunch of mostly old stories.
I wouldn't mind as much if the stories were at least new, will this 'catch up' and is just a symptom of new site or is there a fix that can stop it capturing outdated stories?
Or alternately can you 'unsubscribe' from certain parts of the forum?
Was just about to post this one too. I usually ignored it too

I believe the "Jump to last post" works on the desktop view, but not the mobile/tablet view

Good point, I'll see if it can be customised more.

There are two newsfeeds (The Leader, and Google News search for Cronulla Sharks). The Google News one seems to be dredging up some very old articles at the moment, but it might possibly stabilise. The Leader one I guess won't have much Sharks stuff in the off-season, but at least the news is fresh.

I'll give it some thought. Thanks for the feedback!

Done a great transition mate, well done.

Main issue is really the old Sharks news because player names etc catch my eye. Stuff that sneaks through but doesn't have a relevant heading is fairly easy to ignore. I think it is probably sweet if it can catch up or have some kind of date check.

In 'New Posts' you can set a filter which will only show new posts for threads you have commented in. If you have commented everywhere like me it probably useable although runs risk of missing any new threads or the rare thread I'm not in already.

Also I accidentally clicked out of this thread halfway through typing this comment and it remembered it when I came back!

Yep, can confirm that you jump to the last post in the forum selected on desktop. Very handy for most of the time... as I'm procrastinating here and avoiding work and the family by pretending to be working...

There is a ranking by number of posts ("messages") and a good offseason could see snowman overtake Google Bot for #1

Thanks, I've unchecked an option in the Newsfeeds forum named "Include threads from this forum when users click 'New posts'".

So let's see if that does the trick. If I can eventually get the newsfeeds to be more relevant, I may go back and include them some day.

For me I think it’s better like that unless you can get the newsfeeds working a bit better

I like the notifications if someone has replied. During the season when there's a lot of active threads & I forget which one I was having an off topic convo in it'll be great.

Fixed my avatar. With the fins clipped the shark couldn't surface to chomp on Sea Eagles, big cats, bulldogs etc. ;)

I don't mind Robson being a bit off center in the new format. Takes him from calming influence to disquieting reflection.
