I reckon if it were Val and he was injured on the weekend and we saw him at training instead of in a moon boot, we would be thanking the journo
I don't think we need to play silly buggers, if he can train then he can train. Let's get on with it.

Plenty of journos attend training, someone would have mentioned it.

Clubs aren't stupid mate.

Well unless you are the Tigers
Or Warriors
Or Manly
Or St George
Or Titans
Or Newcastle.

Actually scrap that comment

Talakai is our JT, and we use him sparingly in the centres. His hitups give us momentum. Would be nice to get a specialist centre and put him back in the forwards.

It's tricky. Talakai is much more likely to be dominated in a tackle than JT.

Yeah but Talakai is a most most damaging runner. I’d just like our forwards to lay a platform for the halves and I think Talakai really helps us playing in the middle

Awesome decoy for Will's try, that needs to happen more often.

On the flipside Hiku ran around him for that try and he ain't fast.
I think that try exposed why we can't have him as a centre long term. All credit for the ridiculously good job he's done there for us but he can do the same job in attack from the second row, so long as we can find a solid replacement

Agree but like you said, there needs to be a better alternative and there isn't atm.

Hard for him to make as many metres in 40 mins in the middle as 80 mins at centre. But after watching Hiku burn him I agree he can't be our first choice next year.

He's marked up on better centres than Hiku and done ok.
Nah not good enough
Our fairly cheap centre should who makes the most meters from that position in the game should also be absolutely impenetrable in defence
