Sio showed just what we needed to see from him. The guy who should be looking over his shoulder is Woods.

I thought Woodsy played well tonight, one of our better players. Williams is a guy I’d be looking to get out of the team.

sounds like this guy will be a saviour for our pack
saviour? not with the minutes he will be played

It’s his first top grade game for a long time. Don’t expect miracles. I’d be happy if he just does his job well and puts up some good numbers and hard hits. Play a role.

and there you go

This bloke made a good NRL return, might be hard to push out of his spot

yea thought he made some decent charges into the line

strange timing to make that call after Woods had one of his better games. Williams was decent but his form line is still bad

I get that, but I don't usually change my mind about a player after one game. Before tonight most people were talking about benching Woods, for good reason.

He was solid and consistent tonight, and it was enough against a pretty poor Cowboys side. To be honest, a player of his experience and standing should be doing more, week in week out. I don't think that's unreasonable

not unreasonable, consistency is his problem - like most of our big money external recruits last few seasons. he looks like a proper forward one week, and a mistake riddle long haired lazy pillow the next

When Fifitas is back - Drop Williams. Sorro to 13
Talakai to the bench.

Talakai had a good game. Look forward to seeing more.

In regards to your team selections, can't see that happening. Likely Talakai to be dropped when he comes back. Or Sorenson but he's been good.

I liked Talakai last night, did his job running hard & straight making good metres, making a few good tackles aswell, I'd keep Talakai in his spot, probably drop Williams, for me his had enough chances for a while.

Just watched an interview with him from during the week - played for Rabbitohs in the 2015 SG ball Grand Final Cronulla won.
He was their starting 12 and played against Will Kennedy, Blayke & Billy plus Vasquez and Jack A Williams from our development squad (also Curtis Scott and Kyle Flan)

Even though he kind of seems like someone who has been and gone from the NRL getting a second chance his return to the NRL is actually pretty on target with these other guys careers.

And if SJ keeps struggling...

Cronulla Sharks 24 (W Kennedy, J Tuilagi, C Scott, K Yorston, B Magoulias tries; J Williams 2 goals)
South Sydney 16 (B Perry, C Murray, S Talakai tries; Siosifa Talakai 2 goals)

Reminds me of Uele, if he can make his comeback To the NRL like Uele’s, perfect.

This guy is built for the rule change. He’s so low to the ground he just bounces up again after he’s tackled. He could become a quick play the ball specialist.
