Official Sione Katoa

I'd rather Dixon, if he's in our top 30
Doesn't need to be top 30. Dev list can play from round 1.

Mixed info on Dixon. Possibly dev. Possibly T&T,

Train and trial can play from round 11 but earlier with permission. They wouldn't get permission to play a centre or winger because they have Vea'ila available.

What is his game style ?

Great on yardage but not super quick.

Handy player but Vea'ila is better and Jones might be physically more prepared despite not having played much wing.

I read this forum after Sione's SHOCKA round 6 against the Roosters that he's this, that and the other and pretty much crap .
I thought it was pretty harsh.
So went back and looked at the first 5 rounds of this forum's 3-2-1's , he polled top 3 by at least someone every round.
The first 2 rounds by most.
Plays busted round 6 and gets virtually written off .
I think we forget he does freakish things at times , whether close to the line or in broken play and gives his best , granted he's not the fastest winger.
Short memories ?

It’s all very odd

Not sure you can say it is anything but a dropping to be numbered so low then play cup but externally the dropping his doesn’t add up to me.
Not sure many would argue from external view point it ‘worked’, either.

He wouldn’t be the first player to be sent to the Jets because he is carrying an injury that he can play OK with but not up to his usual standard.

That just seems ridiculous to me. Surely you’re either fit to play, or you’re not, regardless of the grade of football.
Yeah confusing to me too. I can't imagine many situations where the best recovery is playing more football...
“Just run it off!
But not in NRL in case you make it worse”
The concept of “injury management” does exist though. NRL players regularly play a lesser role when managing an injury. It’s just not very practical for a winger to sit on the bench and play 20.

It also doesn’t hurt the NRL team if he does break down. Jets wins are nice but not important in the bigger picture.

Bukuya a very good example of a player who “dropped himself”. Had an injury that meant he wasn't up to NRL but still wanted to play.

Sam said on Sharkcast flagship episode that he will be out for "some weeks" with an ankle injury. "It's not going to be a month I think, but Katoa will be out for some weeks."

Yeah makes sense. In hindsight he probably should have been scratched after the Warriors game.
