Yeah the market is what it is though. I can see a world in which he gets a similar contract to Galvin (750k). To be honest, I'd be happy for us to poach him for that.

Yeah Agree its undermining of the clubs to have entertained that. NRL should now make a rule, no cap relief to replace that player or similar.

the penalty will still take place if they sign with an unsanctioned competition. not having a contract makes no difference. the nrl wont register their contract if they want to come back

Can probably get 80%+ the output for like 70% and less the price

I absolutely think he is. Jayden Sullivan got 600k. Tayln Da Silva got 650k. The market for good spine players is much higher than expected.
I think half the clubs in the comp would be happy paying 850-900k to get Campbell on their books. For desperate sides/a team looking to kick off their roster, over a million isn't terrible business either.
If we could get Campbell here for 850-900k I'd be all over it.
