Would be a good solid signing for them. I wouldn't break the bank for him, when we have good lock options now and in future.
I agree you wouldn't break the bank for him yet, and I don't think you'd have to. I'd be surprised if we don't lock him up for 2 more years pretty easily on around 400-450k.

Keep him for another season or 2, he's a good quality young up coming player. Good cover even if he's not a regular starter yet.
I would keep him around as he has a lot of potential though sutho and snowy did a segment recently of a player coming thru that might have more potential that Colqouhn , and a bigger body more mobile and some ball playing skills.
He would have first crack at lock the first several games like SS has with the wing. It’s there chance to stand up and take their shot.

In saying that, a younger player with potentially more potential obviously plays Flegg or Jets? Culqohoun for me can play/cover lock & prop. Can this guy only play 1 or cover both too?

Sam McCulloch is the player I believe we are talking about and I think he could cover prop pretty easily although he's definitely better utilised at lock.

Here's a photo of him last year next to a mountain named Luke Lewis for reference;

Now wouldn’t mind Luke Lewis or Maloney help with coaching .

Luke Lewis was king of 1% and jimmy was a freak at halves

I spoke about promoting McCulloch to spend 2026 with the Jets at NSW Cup level with a view to him featuring in first grade in 2027 post-Cam etc, a few months ago.
While Jesse Colquhoun finished 2025 in fine form after Cam went down, I still think the club will likely look to promote McCulloch in the long term and likely see both Jesse and Cam as players who can be let go as a result.

Let Jesse Colquhoun go? That's a wild one

I'd be shocked if Sam doesn't spend majority of next year in NSW Cup. Pretty certain he's aged out of flegg now.

Long-term Colquhoun ends up at prop for me, no reason not to keep both.
