Matty Johns buys a stake in the Gold Coast titans.

I got a really strong feeling Bellamy is heading there for 2027.
 
People with the money are buying into all sorts of sports clubs all over the world.

You have to wonder, at some point, after all the false starts, name changes and reinventions over the past 35 years, a franchise on the Gold Coast has either got to succeed or, those involved need to cut their losses and accept that, as a venue for Magic Round for example, the Gold Coast is a great shout but, as a location for an NRL franchise, it would be better suited to being shifted to the Western Corridor and rebranded as the Jets.

5/8th for us, but played Fullback for Newington College in Union.

Club rates him highly, signed till 2028.

Haven't seen heaps of him as he played SG Ball this year and didn't watch too many games but he's definitely one to watch. Good goal kicker and general play kicker. Used to run track so he's pretty quick I believe. Not JAC fast but as a half he's quick.

Decent size too.

Going to train with the NRL squad this off season which says alot. Assume he'll play Flegg this year. Honestly expect him to partner Pollard in the halves eventually, probably not till 2028 though you'd think unless they fast track him and I think Fitz likes to make sure they're battle hardened in NSW cup a bit

Keons manager is asking for 900k a season and want a 4 year deal.

Thoughts?

Good player yes but is he worth it over 4 years?
