As far as I am concerned he was always a 'back-up' even if he may have ended up starting. The Walker and B Smith injuries obviously throw plans into turmoil. Then add in the S Smith potential standdown and availability of Hunt that changes things.
Could still see a Chad & Ben starting pairing. Chad is just as likely to beat out Sandon now as he was before they signed Hunt. Unless I am forgetting someone they have?
Possible that Hunt goes to 9 instead of the halves? That'll free Watson up to go to 13.

Yeah good point, especially if Sandon avoids any, or significant, punishment.
Alternately Sandon could also be used as the fill in 9 although if they want him in halves long term that may be the worse option.

St Merge set to sign rugby sevens player Nathan Lawson on a 2 year deal.
Interesting signing. Watched him play in Paris given he is a Shire local, and played for Southern Districts. Decent player but didn’t really stand out. Can’t see him being the next Lachie Miller… though all these Sevens players have good fitness and skill

Never really played for the Waratahs etc. Nice decent guy who presents well, so good fit for that 7s world.

Not sure I'd relish the comparison if I was him. :p

* I know Miller has turned into a decent player *

Rumour is Terell May was most impressed with the tigers pitch.
St Merge & Dogs still in the hunt but Tigers in front at this stage.
