Official Signings, Transfers & Recruitment Discussion 2026

Tigers have increased their offer to Averillo to 4 year's worth 2.8 mil.

We have a 2 year offer at around 1.1 mil sitting there for him.

550 seems fine if he’s going to start. He’s an upgrade on Ramien, fast and can cover a few positions very well so we don’t need to rush in rookies who aren’t ready.

If the club is happy to pay it then that’s good enough for me

In saying that might be hard to say no to a 4 year deal

Also might be hard to sign with the Tigers for 4 years. Haha Api hasn’t got long left , Luai is off to PNG in 2027.

Yeah I mean if we got him for like 500 I’d probably be pretty happy with that.
He definitely has the ability to be worth more than 500, and I suppose if Fitz really liked him for what he wants us to be doing, an extra 50-100k isn’t much.
700k feels a bit generous; although there’s a world he becomes worth that pretty easily too (would really need to get his defence up).

The cap keeps going up and up. For comparison when Ramien came back from
Newy we paid him (in ‘today’s money’) 600k.
He was a 23 year old with 38 NRL games, Averillo will be a 26 year old with around 100 more, that can play more positions.
So by comparison I wouldn’t say it is more of an overspend than that.
