The money Manu is making in rugby dwarfs Suaalii’s deal. He is said to be on about €1.3 million ($2.15 million) a season with Racing 92 in France. It is huge money, and it is little wonder the Roosters have moved in a different direction.
Only family would bring Manu back.

No way he's coming back for the money. But with a wife and young child, living on the other side of the world can't always be easy.

When you've made enough to set yourself up long term, the possibility of one last decent contract back home surrounded by family and friends would surely be attractive.

Maybe. I don't know what's his drive at this stage of his career.

Life in Paris w/ $2 millions and plenty of support from my employer looks like a pretty good life. Less stress on the body too.

If his drive is to come back to a ref-botched NRL, for much less money and play for a team that keeps inventing ways to dissapoint fans - we are in with a strong chance!

That’s his stats after 813 minutes, so roughly 10 games? I’m pretty sure Matt Dufty posted similar numbers yesterday. If Joey is getting paid $2 million a season for that kind of output he be ****ing mad to come back to the NRL. He could do that **** well into his 40s.

Exactly. The only worry is that he might catch a cold or get frostbite in the winter.
 
Apa Twidle (highly touted eels junior who debuted this season) has signed with the bears on a 3 year deal.

Parra fans are losing it 😂

On the Bears... I saw that they announced some pathways stuff earlier this week. Building everything from the ground up. Planning to join SG Ball in 2029 and Harold Mats in 2030 I think it said.

They said currently they don't have enough say with their Q Cup feeder (Brisbane Tigers) so some of the kids that had moved to Qld weren't getting enough game time and moved back.

My son plays against these two kids in the next month or so.

Rumour is Dean Young has 6-8 weeks to show the dragons what he has a coach, if they show signs of improvement etc he’ll win the head coaching role for next season.

Could be bullshit but it’s been said on a few sites.

They are either going to sign Young for 3 years and sack him in 18 months. Or sack him in 2 months and hire an interim interim.
