13. Briton Nikora (2022)
14. Braden Hamlin-Uele (2022)
15. Royce Hunt (2022)
16. Jensen Taumoepeau (2022) (Club Option 2023)
17. Franklin Pele (2022)
18. Wade Graham (2022)
19. Andrew Fifita (2022)
20. Jack Williams (2022)
21. Blayke Brailey (2022)
22. Matt Moylan (2022)
23. Mawene Hiroti (2022)
24. Luke Metcalf (2022) (Development List)

These are the guys that can sign elsewhere in two weeks. Is there anyone we should be locking down before that time? I'd like to see us retain Metcalf, and I think we could get value out of signing Williams up early, but outside of that I don't think we need to rush into anything.

Guys on the list I'd like to keep but want to see them back on the park first (Williams, Hunt, BHU, Brailey, Graham, Metcalf).
I don't think any of them are must keep though if it is sign in next two weeks or not at all.

Would have the same list, really. The others are untested enough to be sure for punters like us. I'd hope there's enough potential in Nikora and Pele for Fitz to be able to add them to his list.

Bhu, hunt, pele, Williams, Metcalf.

I think these guys would still be relatively cheap and are young enough not to be too injury prone.

With Fitz, the new strength coach and Finucane will be hoping for a significant improvement from the young (and old) forwards.

That also paired with the Dolphins would be extending a bit earlier for sure

Players from that list I'd like us to keep for sure are Metcalf, BHU, Williams, Hunt, Graham & brailey. I've never seen Pele play so I can't say him personally but I've only heard good things about him. If we can't keep BHU or Hunt then I'd keep Fifita as cover.

Sharks have signed Jake Hay from the Panthers on a 2 year deal. Turning 19 next year so expected to play SG Ball. He’s a half.

They have also re-signed Zane Watson (middle forward) and Dylan Christensen (half) for 2 years. Both are from the Harold Matthew’s team (u17). I think they both turn 18 next year so will go up to SG Ball. Will need to confirm that though.

Haven't we got another potential young gun halfback coming through .
Will his progress be blocked ? or is he ready for the Jets ?

Josh Finau is also confirmed as re-signed for 2022 only. Could end up on the dev list.

Rivett? I think he’s older so will play Flegg or NSW cup. Can’t have too many halves either. They don’t always teach their potential

Yep. Rivett is born in 2002. Too old for SG Ball next year.

Yep.

Think of how many “young gun” halves have come though the Sharks system, and in the last ten years and the only regular NRL 7 the system has produced is Townsend. The jury is still out on Trindall, Flanagan and Metcalf - but there is a looooong list of “next big things” who didn’t make it.

3 years ago the Broncos had 5 halves who had played QLD u18’s or higher. They were all supposed to be guns. Now they’ve only got two left on the books, one who they are trying to turn into a hooker and one who only just broke into Q Cup. In the end they gave up trying to develop a 7 and bought one instead.
