Sharks secure services of promising young playmaker
Former Panthers playmaker Niwhai Puru has committed his future to the Sharks, the 20-year-old signing a two-year deal with the Cronulla clubwww.sharks.com.au

Can he bring a few of his mates with him?
Highlights from last year, seems to enjoy kicking in general play which should win him a few fans on here.
I'm not that disappointed, not sure he was first grade material. Felt like he wasn't near as dominant in Flegg like he should have been.Nice find. Bummer!
In a league where almost half of the starting 7's weren't NRL regulars at 22, I'm not making a call on any 19 year year halfback either way. In 4 years he could be playing NRL or he could be driving an Uber.I'm not that disappointed, not sure he was first grade material. Felt like he wasn't near as dominant in Flegg like he should have been.
It's possible. We don't know which decision came first though. Could be that Puru was signed because Rivett left.Maybe he thought the signing of Puru had made his pathway to NRL more unlikely.
Wasn’t Rivett missing here and there during last season? Puru seems like the more reliable option, and has the added bonus of coming from that Penrith system. Think we come out on top here. It's possible. We don't know which decision came first though. Could be that Puru was signed because Rivett left.
I thought he looked pretty decent but am fully aware I was only watching highlights. You've probably seen more than me.I'm not that disappointed, not sure he was first grade material. Felt like he wasn't near as dominant in Flegg like he should have been.
