That video highlights is a lot better than the last highlight video I watched of him, other one had zero kicking and was concerned of signing a non kicking half to partner Nicho but a lot happier after that tho still looks pretty ruff but at 20 has time to polish him up.

Yeah looks like he has a decent grubber/short kicking game in the opposition 20 which we desperately need. Though yeah can't seem him immediately partnering Hynes any time soon.

Still confident Fitzy will be pushing Hynes big time in the off season and working on the kicking/game management side of things. They both know it's something that can be and needs to improve.

I'm not that disappointed, not sure he was first grade material. Felt like he wasn't near as dominant in Flegg like he should have been.
In a league where almost half of the starting 7's weren't NRL regulars at 22, I'm not making a call on any 19 year year halfback either way. In 4 years he could be playing NRL or he could be driving an Uber.

Opens up the #7 jersey at Newtown. Lots of blokes who play 6 but no real 7. Not sure if Davies is returning.

It's possible. We don't know which decision came first though. Could be that Puru was signed because Rivett left.
Wasn’t Rivett missing here and there during last season? Puru seems like the more reliable option, and has the added bonus of coming from that Penrith system. Think we come out on top here.

I thought he looked pretty decent but am fully aware I was only watching highlights. You've probably seen more than me.

I did like the idea (for no real reason) of him coming through and having him at 1.9m and Hynes at 1.88 playing in the halves.

I've also watched the highlights of the new boy Puru. He looks good in those also. As part of a better team but hopefully it's him making them look good more than them making him look good!
