Thoughts on what players we should add - think maybe 1 more prop, another half and a second rower.
Should always ask the recruiter to lift their hand off the page before you sign. Even if they look like they're just leaning on the table.Dykes, Lualua, Martin and Rivett all confirmed on development list.
The misdirection around Rivett continues. NRL.com "official" list says he is contracted to 2022.
In an interview in October 2020 Rivett said "I signed a 3 year deal".

Maybe it’s just me but when you’re given a great opportunity like this lad was how do you get complacent? Crazy.I listened to a Podcast interview with Tyler Slade today. Sounds like he is part of the larger squad of "non top 30" Sharks players.
Apparently he was considered a huge prospect at the Warriors. Played 20's young, played NSW Cup young, signed a 4 year deal to train with the NRL team... but by his own admission got complacent. He's expecting to be with the Jets this year and to continue pushing for a top 30 spot.
It's by his manager. It's only available on Apple. " IDP Podcast with Richard White"
Chad its insane, i cld tell a couple of close at hand stories, it just repeats. The brother of Nikorima is it, gone to Storm, learnt his lesson. Article in the Aus a few weeks ago.Maybe it’s just me but when you’re given a great opportunity like this lad was how do you get complacent? Crazy.
Bizarrely I’m the opposite 2 you mate, I can see how easy it would be to become complacent ever coach pumping up your tyres how u will play first grade from probably u11’s dominating under age comps.. really is across all sports from football to tennis…Maybe it’s just me but when you’re given a great opportunity like this lad was how do you get complacent? Yeah kinda this. He said that in hindsight the 4 year deal was the worst thing for him. Pretty similar to what Talakai said about his time at Souths.Bizarrely I’m the opposite 2 you mate, I can see how easy it would be to become complacent ever coach pumping up your tyres how u will play first grade from probably u11’s dominating under age comps.. really is across all sports from football to tennis…
Is there an 'Official Whipping Boy' tag we can put on his thread now? Just needs a bowl cut and an NFL jersey...Australian is reporting Blayke has re-signed for 4 year
Thought it was 3, maybe the 4th got it done.Australian is reporting Blayke has re-signed for 4 year
Maybe the fourth is in his favour...Thought it was 3, maybe the 4th got it done.
Either way excellent news and look forward to see his improvement
Maybe it is in the clubs favour but we should spend the length of the contact complaining that it might be in his favour anywayMaybe the fourth is in his favour...
If possible I'd like to confirm that it's in our favour then complain that we're thinking of keeping him for three yearsMaybe it is in the clubs favour but we should spend the length of the contact complaining that it might be in his favour anyway
That could be arranged. Is there an 'Official Whipping Boy' tag we can put on his thread now? Just needs a bowl cut and an NFL jersey...
Bet he has the last year in his favour... Or our favour...
Yes please. We'd need a little governence... it could only be assigned to one player. And would need a forum majority consensus to reassign (well, across the dozen of us who post regularly anyway)That could be arranged.
