Well I’ll tell you this much Sparkles, Henchmann ain’t related to Matt Moylan.
I like Henchmann already, no to Moylan for 2 yrs, at best give him 1 on a contract that’s deserving of his ENTIRE contribution since he arrived @ Cronulla

So one year on... lets see, average games played since he started here and assuming he came on correct market value (as a current rep spine player it does seem pretty fair)
70/109 64% games played
64% x 850k = $546k for a season
Could perhaps argue a bit more if you assume it is unreasonable to expect a player to be available for 100% of games*

Not what I'd pay him personally.

Did you mean 1 year contract that's deserving of his ENTIRE contribution skewed towards the negatives?

*I wonder what the reasonable expectation for games player across 4 years is in NRL?
Moylan probably below it but you wouldn't think by a huge margin much, miss most of one season due to one serious injury and you could be looking at 80% even though you played ever other game. I'd guess more players would play closer to 75% than 100%?
Frequency of injury for him that period still is a concern for me of course.

I guess he said entire contribution but didn't clarify the weighting of the considerations.

His salary is 10k for every game played during that time (700,000), minus 25k for every game missed (-975,000).
Moylan plays next year if he pays us 275,000

Just didn't seem like enough to get our cap right so unfortunately for him I had to sting him for a bit more.

For reference we can also offer Andrew a contract if he pays us 100k and Wade can have a year if he pays us 555k
I know for Moylan we said entire but I thought fair to use same years for those two too - call it recency bias.

I think Wade might be going somewhere else...

How many more players that haven't lived up to their contract do we need to sign to get Munster for free?

I more so meant I hope we don’t get caught up in him playing 12/12 this season, whilst so far so good with no reoccurring injuries I would like us to factor in what he’s done or hasn’t done prior & not forget he was probably in our top 3, possibly top 4 earners in our team cap for the previous x 4 seasons so surely he’d have a slight appreciation for us as to we are cautious with a one year, reduced contract.

I’ll give it to him he’s been solid in most games this season, far from our worse but he hasn’t been going that great for us to rush & sign him, other clubs don’t appear to be making him a priority either.

I’m not going to single out how he’s played this season, good or bad cause our team in general or players have mostly been up & done 12 games in.

From my records, barring this season, as the 12/12 probably makes it look more favourable for him, in season 2018-2021 he’s played a total of 58 from a possible 99 games for us..

His best season for us in terms of games played (as well as a influential contributor to our games) was in his first season for us in 2018 when he suited up in 24 games which he played in all x 3 of our finals games.

In seasons 2019 & 2020 he played a total of 19/50 games, (regular season are 24 club games).
We made the finals in both of these seasons playing in the qualifiers & were bounced straight out, he was unavailable in both due to injury.

For me, 12 games in for 2022, yes he hasn’t missed a game yet, fir me, he’s too much of a risk to offer anything for than one season at a time, it’s then up for argument or opinion as to what they’d be happy to sign him for.
Let’s not forget, he’s 30 plus, has had, up until now, repeated injuries on hammy’s & calfs, not sure if it’s just his age, possibly being cautious etc ?? but he’s not sharp & it’s highly likely he is past his peak speed days & will only be slower plus he’s a very limited half in terms of being a kicking option.
