just an indication of how some raiders fans are treating this game.

i've approached 3 raiders fans with the intention of betting a case of beer on the game.

1 says he never bets on footy.(he lies)(i won a 6pack off him earlier in the year)

the next says he'll think about it and get back to me.(he will avoid me for the rest of the week)

the last raiders fan(a true footy fan) has already bought me a case of crown lager.

SHARKS TEAM FOR RAIDERS SEMI FINAL
Tuesday 9 Sep 2008 16:38
by Matthew O'Neill

The Sharks will be close to full strength for Saturday's semi final against Canberra at Toyota Park (6:30pm).

Greg Bird will be missed due to a well-documented off-field incident recently and Reece Williams is out for the season with a knee injury.

Cronulla finished the season in 3rd position and have a chance of getting week three off should either the Storm or Sea Eagles lose this weekend, which wouldn't be out of the questions due to the unpredictable natures of the Warriors and Dragons.

The Sharks have been in fine form in the last month with the exception of the final stages of their victory against the Cowboys last Saturday night when they nearly surrended a massive lead to hold on by six points.

1 Brett Kearney
2 Misi Taulapapa
3 Ben Pomeroy
4 David Simmons
5 Luke Covell
6 Brett Seymour
7 Brett Kimmorley
8 Ben Ross
9 Isaac De Gois
10 Adam Peek
11 Luke Douglas
12 Fraser Anderson
13 Paul Gallen [c]

Subs:
14 Danny Nutley
15 Bryan Norrie
16 Kade Snowden
17 Terence Seu Seu
18 Grant Millington
19 Blake Green
(two to be omitted)

Unavailable:
Karlos Filiga - torn pectoral muscle - season
Reece Williams - knee - season
Lance Thompson - retired
Greg Bird - unavailable

Welcome to Emu Plains, please be sure to visit our
well apparently the raiders are appealing to the NRL for salary cap help cause they only have 16 of their 25 players available. Im kinda hopin the sharks wont miss next week as i will be in Sydney and would love to go to the game.

injuries are just bad luck, though its stupid that bringing up an u/20s player affects your cap...probably just a smokey to get the underdogs tag

best attack vs best defence

thrilling encounter

misi, simmo, cov and pom will have to muscle up in defence because thats where they will try to beat us, on the fringes

williams would be good to look at on paper, but on the field would be very rusty

kimmorleys bomb to covell will be crucial we can score plenty of points there

bulldogs put 30 on em, which gives us plenty of hope in attack, and if our defence can stand up as it has done all year, we willbe fine

our last game against the raiders was 34-22, which indicates they can score points, so wel have to be on the ball in attack

ill miss the game cuz ill be at the tri nations:( updates will be flying thick and fast on my phone

Actually it was 36-24, but same margin.

cobras need green and we need snowden

We need Snowden and Millington
