I wonder how the Club sponsors feel about this pic? Not really giving any signage for your company that you've paid quite a bit of cash for the team to advertise on shorts and jerseys! Sorry but I'm not a fan of this shot at all as an OFFICIAL TEAM portrait...there's a lot to be said for the traditional shot of the squad in their run on gear at the home ground looking professional and ready to go for the season. In 20 years time, will these blokes want to show their grand kids this "official" shot of the mighty 2010 season? Does this go up in the boardroom along with all of the other teams we have fielded over the past four decades?

Champ, it was a good will gesture with the local community. Maybe you don't remember last season where the club's name was dragged through the mud on a number of occasions?

As for showing the grand kids in 20 years time, I reckon most kids would be proud their Granddad was admired throughout the community.

It was a photo with the local community. Get over. As for an official pic are the player’s names at the bottom NO. Are the sponsors logos showing No.
Did it make the Daily Telegraph Yes?
Do you have 409000 friends to show the photo to and match the circulation of a major newspaper? I think not.
Do you have the same kind heartedness the sharks players portrayed in this pic No.?
I Suggest you stop you stop your whining and be proud of the team and HQ you have. Go get a coffee.

How about Shark3 gets the Sharks Forever "Goose of the Week" moniker, similar to what the club has?

This isn't an official photo lol this was a PR shot for the paper showing the sharks reconnecting with the community so we get more people through the gates so the sponsors then get more bang for their buck.

Talk about going off half cocked lol.

Gee guys, I seem to have rattled a few chains here... I was sure I read somewhere that this was going to be used in some official capacity, hence my response but obviously I got it wrong. If it's just a happy snap, then a happy snap it is. Apologies, I stand corrected, etc etc...:inyouget

I love the idea. May not be the best use of the player's time, but I'd like to see it extended to other suburbs, e.g. get a photo on the Woronora Bridge, at Seymour Shaw at Miranda, Helensburgh Oval etc.

Then distribute each suburb's poster to the local businesses and re-engage the broader Shire.

helensburgh isnt in the shire, thats dragon(steeler) territory. may as well just take the photo in front of jubilee oval ;)

however, maybe a shot at heathcote oval....
