He wasn’t with sharks last year. Was Newtown. Currently train and trialKyle Pickering staying with Sharks
I pretty much know the current Jersey Flegg squad. Out of 38 there's 15 local juniors.Random question, does anyone know of the 2025 Jersey Flegg squad ( assume would be 40 players) how many would be "local Jnrs"? Just looking at the Storm Squad, and there looks like maybe only 12 players from 44.

Thank you for the detail/ response. I'm one step removed now down here on the JF, but seems same same, as your closer linked observation.I pretty much know the current Jersey Flegg squad. Out of 38 there's 15 local juniors.
A lot of local juniors have left, sought releases etc and gone elsewhere in the last two years because they are not getting opportunities.
Players being signed from NZ and elsewhere who are not necessarily better but get put up the pecking order.
I got it facebook messaged. I'm a techophobe but will try and work out how to replicate it for you shortly.Where can I find the Storm squad
Many will portably see their deals up before season starts.obviously we have a few of these players contracted already, but by being on a train and trial does that give them the ability to play first grade with an exemption if needed with squad injuries etc but then not fall under the top 30 players salary cap?
Used to be a thing where once you played a dev player their full salary went against your cap but not sure if that is a thing anymore.sorry bort they'll see there deals upgraded your saying?
Challenge has some big wraps but think he only played one, maybe two games for Flegg this year so he's one to keep an eye on.2025 train and trials per fox sports
Kyle Pickering, Kristian Dixon, Blake Hosking, Brad Fearnley, Lachlan Crouch, Riley Pollard, Taj Ford, Sam McCulloch, Alex Challenor
Analysis: 23-year-old second-rower Kyle Pickering, 23-year-old prop Brad Fearnley and versatile forward Blake Hosking have all been rewarded for a consistent 2024 season with feeder side Newtown Jets. And the rest of the Sharks’ train-and-trial list is made up of exciting young guns — five of which featured in the team that lost to the Bulldogs in this year’s Jersey Flegg Cup Grand Final. Taj Ford and Riley Pollard partnered each other in the halves, while Sam McCulloch — the Sharks’ Flegg Player of the Year — captained the side at lock. Kristian Dixon is a winger and Lachlan Crouch is an emerging prop. Sharks fans should also keep an eye on Alex Challenor, who is a local junior and was selected in this year’s Australian Schoolboys squad. The De La Salle Caringbah product is a prop and has been in the Sharks’ system since he was 14-years old.
