Jordan Samrani has agreed to terms with the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs for the next 3 seasons.

Samrani, who stands 190cm and weights 101kg plays anywhere in the outside backs, has had a breakout season with the Cronulla Sharks scoring 9 tries in 5 games and regularly running for over 150m per game.

When asked about the impending move Samrani was pragmatic when saying “I am excited to be furthering my career at the Bulldogs, and I appreciate everything the Sharks have done for me, it was a tough decision to make, but Craig Fitzgibbon was great when I spoke to him.”

Bulldogs officials were happy to secure Samrani’s signature, “He is definitely one of the premium outside backs in the Jersey Flegg competition and we very much look forward to adding to his game to help him achieve even bigger goals.”

I reckon it is Iro who jumped him.

Samrani is decent. Not at Xerri/Ramien level in Flegg though. Ferris (healthy) at the same age is probably a good comparison. Has talent but it doesn’t feel like a huge mistake to lose him given the current centre depth.

Sharks up 35-22 FT.

Really enjoyed watching Rodwell, Stonestreet, Finau and Healey. Borg at the back and Lester in the centres also go well.

Rivett was good today too, organises well and his kicking game is good but sometimes the kicks just aren’t off the sweet spot.

Good win today though.

Other results did not go our way, missed the finals
Am I missing something here? I just went into the NSWRL website, looked at the Jersey Flegg ladder and it says we are fifth with 29 points, 1 behind both Dragons and Tigers and 1 ahead of the Panthers who are sixth.

Isn’t it a top five finals format and have we not finished in 5th place?

Current ladder has Panthers 6th, but their 2 points for the bye haven’t been added yet. They will leapfrog the Sharks in to 5th.

We needed the Dragons to lose. They won.
