I genuinely believe Felix could play the 15 minute bench role for Fitz if called upon. If we played that period with the ball he'd probably look impressive. If we played it without the ball he'd probably look awful. It feels like he's at the stage now that Tuks was when he debuted, amazing ball runner but little else to round out his game, particularly off the ball.

I don't think I've watched a Jets game where McCullough has been in the top 5, let alone top 3 forwards for the team. Tuks and Hosking are definitely the first two 'Jets' picked if a spot opened up. Felix is much higher on the pecking order, both edge backrowers have been great too.

I've been impressed with McCullough lately, but impressed in the sense that he's made a seamless transition and looked comfortable. There is no world that he's beating the door to first grade down. Dan talks about him like he's Isaiah Yeo. He's not. He's got a pass, but I wouldn't expect him to look any more handy passing the ball than JC/McInnes/Hosking, at least at this stage of his career.

If you haven't, it's worth testing out Bartv for a month to watch a few games. Reasonably priced for the content IMO.

It's nice to see some of the guys going well who don't get spoken about as much.

I get the impression he does watch Jets games, but Flegg highlights. But plenty of people watch sharks games too and still come away with the notion that Nicho is the problem no matter what happens.

If you've made up your mind before the game it's easy to reaffirm your 'agenda'.

Was talking to a parent at an U6 soccer game last week who is a Sharks' fan. Was having a whinge that Nicho's defence is awful. I don't know what he's watching.

He even brought up the missed tackle in Origin :rolleyes:

I think he watches parts the games for sure. He gets basic things wrong all the time though. Players names, which side of the field or positions they were playing in games and so on. He could just be misremembering when he is trying to recall them, but it happens often enough to give me the impression that he's not watching as much of the Jets as he says he is. I'd say he flicks it on, is in the room some of the time and when he is watching he is just keeping an eye on his 3-4 favourite guys.

He has the answers pre-cocked.... which imo is from watching Flegg highlights.

Need more ballplaying from the lock... rather than actually have the NRL locks do more ball-playing or bringing in the Jets best ball-playing forward they should bring in a guy who has a nice highlights video doing it in Flegg but no track record of doing it well against men.

Halves are too alike and too slow... they should bring in the one who is the slowest and plays most like Trindall... but has a great Flegg highlights package.

Yeah agree.

I haven't overly noticed the mistakes, but I'm certainly not watching as much/as closely as you and definitely miss a few fins up eps.

From my very limited expertise I think there's a very real possibility that Dellow will jump McCullough before he gets close to first grade. All the prospects have a bunch of work to do before they get close to jumping Hosking though.

Footy IQ was a good listen last week. Austin talks about how NSW struggle with their shape because Teddy spends too much time in the middle of the field. Talks a lot about how the fullback lurking around the second rowers creates a lot of issues defensively, particularly for halves.

I know @Sharks NRL Prospects has called it out a few times, but the idea certainly speaks to some criticisms of WK's support play.

I also worry Teddy will cramp space for Blayke and Api, even if there is the benefit of him being around if they were to poke a nose through

I think he goes okay in the middle, but it's clear we are lacking something on the edges. We tried hard last game to shift the ball but it was too easy for QLD to handle.

What he does he does well, typically
Just not sure it is what is best for the rest of the team.
