The Great Whites Interview Series - Nick Graham
Listen Now!...

This is the fifth episode of The Great Whites interview series, where we have the honour of sitting down with former Cronulla Sharks players for a detailed look at their playing career, how they got there and in some cases, what they are up to now. It's a collaboration between SharkCast and the Cronulla Sharks, with club historian Ashley Taylor and the Sharks media crew assisting to make this all possible. Older fans can remember and get new insights into some of their memories, and younger fans can learn from and about these great players and the history of our club.

You can watch the entire interview video at www.sharks.com.au from the week of March 2nd, 2026 and we encourage you to do so!

Another good interview, another great guy, another one I wouldn't pick in the street now.

Don't think he mentioned the Nick Graham Hill though!

Also would like to know a bit more about what they are doing these days.

I loved Nick Graham.

Such an underrated Shark.

1st time I've checked Chad's podcast. This was actually a pretty good listen.

Apparently him & Jimmy are going to combine to interview every member of the 2016 squad this year

Jack was a crucial part of our '16 Premiership and wasn't far off the Churchill medal that evening. Still has a tremendous amount of love for the Sharks and has regrets about leaving us when he did

Yeah I find him fine on the podcast interviews except when he talks like he’s Polynesian

But he’s at least got a good voice and interviewing style

He's new at it too, but I didn't like when he had a whole lot of sharks on earlier, and just pretty well asked them all the same questions. It gets a bit boring by the 3rd player giving the same answers. Repeating a few questions is fine, but you need a bit more individual variation than he provided.

I'll be tuning in more though, I thought overall it was decent.

Yeah that's fair. Sam is really good now but he has been doing it for a while.

He's also more objective because he's asking questions from a non footy player perspective. If Chad asks the same questions in multiple interviews, he puts himself in the position to discuss his same experiences as part of the conversation multiple times.

To me, extra sharks insight is always a plus. I'd listen to anyone interview the team tbh.

Is Clinton Maynard in this place?

He reminds me of some of you pessimistic bastards.

You could literally sit down every season and come up with a reason why this team, or that team will finish higher than us.

I chose to think about why can finish higher than most teams.

I'm sure he goes alright when he's not publicly whining about the refs, or the fans of his own team .
A actually thought O'Brien's post game comments that day were fair when watching the whole interview. Like everything though, the journos then turn that in to one quote/soundbite and start a witch hunt for a bloke saying something that was probably true but hurt a few peoples' feelings.

For me its not so much what he says, he is obviously very intelligent in Rugby League language - just how he talks puts me to sleep

I'm sure when kick off comes we are all as pessimistic as Clinton. I certainly am!

I found it funny how they inadvertently traced it back to 2001 prelim when he hugged the women next to him at half time, saying we were in the GF! Ever since then he has often thought the worse!

Yeah that was weird.

Even though I’m pretty positive, there’s no way I was celebrating at halftime of that game.

At the time I was thinking that we have led at halftime before.
