Sharks/Footy PODCAST Thread

Interesting that Blake raised Will in both clips

Blake raising that Will doesn’t go searching for plays enough and that we need him to (or our next FB) to do that to go to that next level
Him questioning whether that’s how Fitz wants us to play or if Will just doesn’t have it in him.

Makes some good points.
Will is good (very good) and I really like him but maybe doesn’t have the ability to take that next step (thought he might when Moylan was here, but maybe that was more Moylan dragging Will into the game rather than Will injecting himself).

I haven't watched it, Blayke said that?

Just watched this, interesting he sees Nicho as "a hybrid type player, similar to a Jahrome Hughes"...

Also says we as a team (and Kennedy as a fullback) suit a high fatigue set-for-set game - exactly what did work for us in games like Dogs, Roosters, Raiders and then we weren't able to play against Melbourne due to their wrestle but also very much due to the ref. Not saying the ref officiated how he did with the intention to diminish our game, but a different style of ref would have benefited us a lot more I think.

Jumped on the shark cast last week before the storm game. Had a few to many beers prior 😂

It's the offseason, so we have more space for stupid discussion.

I just listened to the latest episode of Sharkcast, and they ended with a conversation asking the question where is cronulla beach? As in, we have North Cronulla and South Cronulla, but no Cronulla Beach.

I'm stuck between they are both Cronulla Beach or neither is. If it wasn't for the surf clubs, would the whole stretch just be considered Cronulla Beach?

Yeh - I consider the whole stretch Cronulla Beach, then you have different sections.

I feel there’s a point in your life where you’re marked as a westie if you call Cronulla Beach “South Cronulla”

Then you hang around long enough or get old enough and it’s totally accepted to call it South Cronulla again 🤷‍♂️

But as I understand it Cronulla Beach is the official name of just the south beach. Combined they are the Cronulla beaches or Bate Bay beaches.

It truly is the off-season now 😀
