Jets have announced a heap of signings over the last week or so - and scheduled two trials. I’ve updated post #1 with the signings.

Most notable would be the return of Reuben Rennie and the confirmation that Iro is on a Jets contract but Sharks train and trial.

Trials will be:

vs Mounties (February 12)
vs Canterbury-Bankstown (February 28th).

Yeah, Berrell will play hooker at minimum
A shitload of halves depth too.

Metcalf, Miller, Davies, Berrell, Tamou (Matterson loves him), Bonnano (was Panthers Flegg 7), Rivett and Dykes are possibly all preferred options over Ernst.

Outside back depth looks decent too - so hopefully we also see very little of Dylan O'Connor.

Sharks top 30 is healthy, what's your Jets lineup (preferring known signed players, fill in with guys you don't know status of)

Assuming Ferris is still injured…

My lineup (not Matterson’s)

1. Metcalf
2. Hiroti
3. Rennie
4. Taumoepeau
5. Lualua
6. Rivett
7. Davies
8. Fifita
9. Berrell
10. Pele
11. Tasipale
12. Nikora
13. Slade
-
14. Miller
15. Dillon
16. Hazelton
17. Gray

Probably closer to a round 5 lineup than a round 1 lineup. Rivett will start in Flegg.

Also - Slade is potentially on the Sharks dev list. Will confirm soon.

Which is why I didn't necessarily see Miller's signing as only 6/7/9 cover.

My expectation is back 5, maybe starting out training for centre
But that’s based on his highlights and team need rather than being an NRL coach with extensive knowledge of him

He did say it was his list but I agree I think Nikora probably holds his place. But I'd rather he not.
Yep. bort asked me for my list - not what I think will happen. I don't want Nikora in the NRL 17. Wilton is younger, better and cheaper.

I also said it's more of a round 5 list. In my fantasy daydream Nikora gets a month of grace in the NRL before Fitz realises Nikora's not up to it.

Ikavalu might be in that team depending on what the plan is.

Also Tolman a good chance of playing there too perhaps?

Wes Lolo has sighed with Easts Tigers in the Q Cup and will join the Storm on a train and trial for the pre-season.

Beale has also gone back to them.

That makes at least 5 former Jets/Sharks on the books for the Tigers. Cherrington, Tevaga and Bessie signed recently too.

Jets have added a couple of stand up citizens to their squad. Tyrone Phillips and Myles Taueli.
