Pele wont make cut it in first grade IF he only plays bench minutes at Jets.
He' one player who should striving for 50 minutes at that level .
Did he end up signing elsewhere ?
Hasn’t signed elsewhere yet apparently.

I’m fine with the current usage of the 3 main middles at the Jets (Jesse, Tom, Frank). I think they are all playing a similar role to how they project for the future (role, not necessarily talent).

Jesse = Dale (45+ minutes of ball playing and mobility)
Tommy = Toby (40-50 min of solid go-forward)
Franklin = Hunt/Williams/BHU (20-40 mins of impact)

With Pele is do you want him playing “lots of minutes” or do you want him playing a similar role at that level to prepare him for the NRL?

His last three games he’s played 33, 30, 43 minutes. The other two are consistently playing more, but are playing different roles.

Thanks Burgess ,
Just want a young , powerful FIT rampaging Pele .
More wondered if he fatigued much playing the impact role ?

Fit is probably the key word there. Missed a lot of footy the last two seasons, and was out for week or two recently also. Needs to put together 6-8 weeks of good footy if he really wants to establish himself.

Are all cup games broadcast somewhere? Wouldn't mind watching Kaufusi start at prop tonight or the Jets play on Sunday with the limited games on this weekend.

Looks like Foxtel/Kayo have 1 game per week - this week is Blacktown/North Sydney on Saturday arvo.

Also looks like there's an additional game per week streamed on the NSW Rugby League Facebook page (not sure who's down for this week).

Live streamed game this week is Wests v Souths.

Hopefully they get their ducks in a row for streaming everything soon. Qld have everything this year (17's rep, 18's, 19's, 21's, Cup). Even my own junior club in Brissy is looking at live streaming all home games u13 and up next year. If my own (broke) club can do it for kids surely we can get some Jets games in 2023.

Beaten by 8 points is a flogging????

Must admit though, having a look at the Raiders side only four first graders, so we probably should have won easily.

Fair enough, yes 30-4 at the time was a definite flogging.

Not enough of those boys are showing they want to play FG.

Off-topic but wasn't sure where else to drop this. I was having a bit of a stats dive into NSW cup players and Sandon Smith (Norths) stood out as a bit of an outlier for halfback plays in one or two areas. Up there in line engagements, support play, general play kicking, etc. These stats obviously don't speak to his effectiveness, so not sure if anyone who watches a bit more cup could shed some light?
