Pork barrelling at its finest. It was Ayres seat and apparently it was under threat at the next election. Well now that Ayres has been turfed for being a corrupt criminal, the seat is pretty much gone anyway.
Apparently he also approved money for a local trots upgrade as well in the Penrith area.

Can't be bothered going back over the entire thread, what will the ground capacity be once everything is finished?

I heard around 16k but I can't confirm.
I thought that was next years capacity whilst works continue , I don’t think that’s the permanent capacity?

I don’t see how the works when done reduce the capacity that much?

Yeh you might be right. Upper PB stand and corporate areas in club won't be ready by then.

Don't know the plans but it seems like the leagues club is encroaching on the ground.

Yes and some of the hill is lost due to electricity maintenance infrastructure, and maybe the bike path to some extent.

In case anyone's interested, this Environmental Impact Statement shows the impact on the Family Hill.

All of this could well have changed along the way too, but it explains why that NE section of the hill is off limits.

I can't see how they'll add another 8k to what it is now.

I look and wonder how they got in 20k in the first place, it doesn't seem like construction has restricted that much of the stadium, though I suppose when you factor in

- No corp section top of Peter Burns
- Pop up Chairmans lounge is taking up some space.
- Small hill on side of Peter Burns stand where the hotel is
- Beer Hill

It probably all adds up.

What of that are we getting back next year ?

Probably doesn't matter because outside of a final we'll rarely get crowds of over 15k anyway.

Ideally it would be good to get more undercover seating though.

No idea what it's meant to be next year.

Channel 7 had an interview with Perrotet saying that NSW/QLD/Victoria have reached a truce over bidding against each other on major events like the NRL Grand Final. Doubt that will last long anyway, but I’m sure WA will have no qualms in bidding for it

The south-west corner lost a little bit when they built a driveway a little while ago. Just one of the small encroachments that add up
