Reminds me of an old Rondey Rude joke:

Some guys were are at a strip club and the waitress comes up to them to take their dinner order.

They order two hamburgers and a hotdog.

Several hours passed before the waitress turned up. After apologising for the delay she removes the hamburgers from under her armpits.

With a bemused look on their faces they asked why the hamburgers were under her armpits.

"To keep them warm" she replied.

"In that case - forget about the hotdog!" They said.

Not sure if the right place to post this but Parra & Bulldogs have both been given grants for a center of excellence today from state government. Anyone got any news of how our funding request is going for ours?

They built a pretty good training facility under the grandstand at Belmore Stadium about 10 years which included gym, ice baths and a running track.

Don't know if this was/is classified as a COE.

Coincidently the builder (Parkview) constructing our development at Woolooware Bay is the same company that built this facility at Belmore.

Doesn't look good: https://www.sport.nsw.gov.au/media-releases/future-nsw-nrl-stars-focus-of-new-centres-of-excellence

The NSW Government will spend $113 million over the next four years with a Budget boost to deliver three new state of the art Rugby League Centres of Excellence, to support the development of future male and female NRL players

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, St George-Illawarra Dragons and Parramatta Eels will develop new Centres of Excellence at Belmore Sports Ground, the University of Wollongong and Kellyville Park.

On field results suggest no
Gus recently mentioned on his podcast that they had put in an application for funding for a CoE at Belmore. Don't know if that's to expand or build one.
