A big section of the stand is currently unable to be used and another has a big marquee on it. These areas will be back soon. This is never discussed by the portaloo and puddles crew. They are being deliberately deceptive..

Question for @buzz67

Could a joint-venture funding model between the NRL/PVL and the Sharks be a realistic option for financing a stadium rebuild?

Or do we have better chances of getting a members driven finance model with the help from successful supporters and ex players (e.g the Dorell family, Dean
Treister, Gallen, ET, Peter Gow).

Comments from Dino last week on SEN. I think he might be being a bit ambitious with those values.

But the CEO acknowledges that the venue could do with additional funding to improve the facilities after the NSW Government backflipped on a $90 million upgrade back in 2022.

“$150 (million) will get us a brand-new stadium just like they're gonna build out Penrith to like one wing, which would be awesome,” he added.
“But if you gave us $45 (million), then we'll still get a job done.
“We'll get a job done where the facility will improve, the centre of excellence will be built, we'll get new broadcast rooms, we'll get new change rooms.
“The capacity's not gonna go to 23,000-25,000. But as I said before, I think these grounds are still required within our code where you can still put 18-19,000 people into a stadium (that’s) so close to the action.

Leagues club teaser video from Xenia, looking good!

xeniaconstructions Welcome to a small glimpse of the new Cronulla Sharks Leagues Club, where the transformation continues to gather momentum.

With each passing week, more of the vision is becoming a reality. The finishes, feature elements and carefully considered design details are now coming together, providing a clear indication of the exceptional spaces that members and guests will soon enjoy.

Across the project, significant progress has been made as the fit-out advances. Premium finishes are being installed, feature ceilings and architectural elements are taking shape, and the various hospitality, gaming and function spaces are beginning to showcase their unique character

This redevelopment is set to deliver a modern, vibrant and welcoming destination for the Sutherland Shire community, enhancing the club experience while creating a range of exciting new spaces for dining, entertainment, events and social connection.

We look forward to sharing more updates as we continue bringing this landmark project to life.

Can't see it being ready by September but never say never....
Yeah the latest CEO update seemed a bit more guarded (“later in the year”)

Are there any government checks and inspections that need to be done before it can open?

In a way, it may be better if it waits until after the football season. If it opens just in the week of the Storm game, it's going to be a huge battle to get in, and a lot of angry people. Hope the 2016 team can get in there for a session either way :)

Yep. There's fire inspections, practical / occupational certificates, certifier inspections.

Then you have defect work

Then you have software installation, security protocols

Then you have to develop procedures, staff training, soft runs, more defects works

Etc, etc
