Unpopular opinion, but I am okay with taking select visitor interstate teams to Allianz for home games, and keeping Sydney team home games at Shark Park.

The only games that would be financially worth taking are big Sydney games. Dino has gone over it in the past at AGMs

Another question asked about taking a big game each year to Allianz (e.g. Sharks-Manly). But Dino was sceptical:

• Relies on getting the right timeslot (all up to the broadcaster)
• Disappointing turnout to the two finals games last year
• The club would have to pay to hire the stadium, as opposed to the payments we receive when we take games away (to Perth etc)
• Coach/players have enough travel already

What was Dino's response to the stadium plan?

I can't remember all the details, as it was spread over several questions.

One of the regulars asked if Mike Dorrell might buy the stadium. Dino sort of joked that it might be an option, but then basically said it will need some major change for major upgrades to happen. Whether that's getting the NRL or the Government involved in the ownership. Even re-doing the ET Stand has been costed in the past as costing $185 million. Doubt that would ever work. NRL / NSW Gov would want the bigger crowd getters at their stadiums. Imagine Sharks / Titans at Allianz at 6pm Friday

I think it needs to be all or nothing. Don't mind a game or two taken elsewhere like now (where we get paid to do it).

If we start doing a 50/50 scenario, we will lose too much home ground advantage.

Plus, we are about to open our leagues club and post game at Ocean Protect would be their biggest revenue maker.

You want the team to represent an area, have the locals get behind it etc. Sharks already struggle in that regard in ways, now imagine your team is everywhere but the Shire
